Honey Bar and Restaurant

Had our son's 21st birthday in the function room upstairs on the weekend. The whole event from the moment we booked the venue till the end of the party went brilliantly without a hitch. Management & staff were so accommodating and very friendly to deal with and tendered to our needs without any problems. Function room had a great feel and vibe and the beautiful views of the city made a great backdrop for our photos. The food was amazing and the bar staff were great in keeping everyone hydrated ;) Just wanted to say thanks guys for helping make our son's night a huge success and a memory he'll cherish always. My friends and I were looking for somewhere for lunch and came across honeys . They had a great lunch special. I love great food and the burger and chips were amazing. The bun, fresh crispy lettuce, pickle and a juicy hamburger. Just divine, I think it was one of the best hamburgers I’ve had out. My compliments to the chef. The staff were also friendly and kind.

Had an amazing time at Honey Bar over the weekend. Went with a few friends and the service was fantastic even though it was crazy busy. I had the BBQ brisket which was so flavoursome and melts in the mouth. The brisket and smoked yogurt combination was INSANE!! So good! Heaps of laughs and a few too many drinks made me one happy customer. Will definitely be back

We want to express our sincere thanks and gratitude for hosting our engagement party. Everything was seamless from the moment we booked the venue to the end of our function when we collected our belongings and paid the final bill. All of our guests could not stop raving about the exceptional food, fantastic service, and overall amazing ambiance. We really appreciate you helping us with all of our inquiries and we could not have asked for a better engagement party. It was exactly what we wanted. Oh and thank you for our drinks prior to the beginning of our event. It certainly helped to take the edge off what was a busy but splendid day.

Really great bar and food here. highly recommend a visit to South Melbourne for a meal and some drinks. The decor is modern contemporary style. Upstairs is a fantastic function room with a bar. We have had a function here and we were very well catered for. Have booked more functions in. Will be back here as often as possible. Highly recommended.

I had my birthday party in December at Honey Bar in the main room. Staff were amazing at accommodating for everyone in my party as well as the general public. Excellent cocktails and delicious food! I had a really great night!

The food was good and the menu has helpful annotations telling if a dish is #glutenfree and/or #vegetarian ... The place is a bit boring though, bare walls and not much personality. And while I was there, it was very cold. I don't know if it's like that often or if they were just expected better weather.

Loved this place with the flavour and quality of all our meals quickly making this our standout regular family favorite during our 4 day Melbourne stay. And this eating strip being just a 10min walk away was a bonus but would happily make the effort to visit again next stay.

My fiance and I had our engagement party at Honey Bar on 8th November 2014. From the moment we decided to host it there, Jasmin and Steve were so accommodating and easy to deal with and offered support for decorations and room set up, the whole process was a breeze. On the night everything went so smoothly thanks to the staff and manager on duty Rochelle, we did everything for us. The room is amazing and the decorations we had in there made it look so special. It really felt like our own private party, and the best thing...we were able to stay until 2.30am, which was amazing. Thank you to Jasmin & Steve and Rochelle for making our night extra special. An amazing venue for your next function, ease, service and food and beverage packages and all at a reasonable price! Love Honey Bar!

I visited for an event upstairs. It's a nice casual space with decent wifi and good screens. The staff were very accommodating and everything worked out really well. However just be aware it can get a bit loud as the day wears into the evening, and the downstairs bar gets busy.
