Holey Moley Golf Club Newtown

Holey Moley is the perfect place to go with friends, we had so much fun playing and the decor is brilliant. We went on a week day and it was quiet, but I can imagine it is impossible to have a decent game during weekends as the place is not that big and it can become quite packed. We opted for the 18 holes option and we are happy we did as the 9 hole downstairs is way too easy and you can be done in 10 minutes top. You can't drink or eat while playing, but, because it was a quiet night, they allowed us to have a break in between and were able to have a drink in between games. The security guy at the entrance on Tuesday night was quite rude to us with no clear motive, he also never smiled and seemed very annoyed to be there, not a great advertising for Holey Moley...

our experience at the Newtown holy moly was the most frustrating experience ive had with a bar. when arrived we checked in and my friend went to go inside but tripped on an unnoticeable incline in the floor, the security guard then told us that none of use could enter even though none of us have had a single drink yet, i was fine to go to another place but they then told us that we could not get a refund on our booking that cost us $60 for the 3 of us and there was nothing we could do, after talking to the manager the security guard that didn't let us in literally fell COMPLETELY over proving that the step is a clear safety hazard, it was the most unbelievable situation.

Alex was amazing - six stars! He has the greatest energy and made our experience so fun from beginning to end, even singing happy birthday to our friend (and a few more!) with such gusto!

Every time we venture over we always have such a fantastic time, staff are always so friendly and welcoming regardless of how busy they are. Tasty food, and a great selection of cocktails. Highly recommend!!

Great experience. Food and drink is great.

Fun place to check out with friends when you're out on the town and want something to do other than sit and drink. Not difficult at all...depending on how much you've indulged beforehand of course. It's quirky, there's booze and music, and the staff are friendly and fun too. Go for a good time, but not a long time.

Great staff! Creative holes. Surprisingly decent cocktails. Will definitely come back
