What an absolute gem of a country pub! Lunched there today to take a break from the Medieval Fair and was beyond impressed. The menu has something for everyone and they have a really good list of daily specials. The food was brilliant. In our party of 5 very fussy eaters, not one was disappointed in their menu choice and the serving sizes were the best value for money I have seen in a very long time. Top that with a genuine warm welcome as well as friendly and efficient service and you simply cannot go wrong. We most certainly won't be waiting for the next Medieval Fair to return here. Well worth the drive!

Was visiting family from interstate and dropped into the pub for lunch. Was fantastic food and service. The Roast of the Day was beautiful and chicken schnitzel was huge and top quality. Highly recommend. Pub has recently reopened under new management.

A beautiful little pub. The owners here are amazing. So friendly. Also the food is great. I recommend the burgers.

The staff were lovely and attentive. They turned the heater on which was extremely noisy so left us the remote to fix it. Unfortunately the food let the whole place down. Came here for my son's 13th birthday lunch on a whim as we were in area. My partner's steak was not seasoned at all and the meat in the brisket burger my son ordered was dry as a bone. Drier and tougher than jerky, also extremely salty. Sadly it was inedible. I didn't want to complain in front of my son to staff on his birthday. Hence why I'm doing so on here. I wanted it to be memorable as I had heard good things but sadly we won't be returning. My daughter also ordered a meal off kids menu. We were not offered the free icecream that it stipulated. After paying all that money, I took home a doggy bag of food and will somehow work my culinary magic to redeem and rehydrate the brisket for my dinner.

Warm and friendly service. Every meal we ordered was hot, fresh and delicious. Definitely a step above what we expected to be just a usual pub meal. Great wine selection too! Highly recommended! :)

Haven't popped into this pub for quite some time, years ago it had lost its mojo. But today we find a new friendly bunch, revitalizing this gem. They are doing all the right things to make this the meeting place of the district once again, great stuff.

The Gum Hotel has been a family secret for years. It was between owners a few years ago but the new guns running this place are fantastic. With a broad history in the hotelier industry they have bought the good old Gum Pub back to the people. Never had a bad meal and the beers cold! Stop in and check out the new wall!(family joke)

Had lunch at the hotel today, food was fantastic, so was the service, great job by Mark and staff. Would highly recommend
