The food is great however the portion size in comparison to the price is unjustifiable. It really is hard to comprehend how they can charge that amount for that portion size. An example would be for 1 small laos sausage that was sliced into 6 or 8 pieces was $18. 1 piece of sausage for almost $20 is insane inflation.
Great decor and alright prices.I did find my pad see ew a bit too saucy but my Pad Thai was fine. It might just be a Thai food thing though
Celebrated my parents 74th and 75th birthday today at Green Peppercorn. It was only the three of us for a quiet and private family lunch. We ordered the crab fried rice, crispy fish with green mango salad, BBQ jumbo prawns and squid. The standout dishes were the fish and mango salad. The prawns, although enormous in size, along with squid were slightly overcooked. The squid was a little chewy too. My mum loved the fish, especially the crispy fish head. This was definitely the standout of our meal. My dad poured the nam jim sauce that came with the BBQ dishes over everything else, including the crab fried rice. There simply wasn't enough of it! We finished our meal of with two deep fried ice cream and pandan creme brulee. The ice cream servings were huge, while the brulee was just right for me. It was not overly sweet. We enjoyed our experience here and do recommend coming in on a quiet week day... 😊
Food was great! Had mango salad, lamb massaman and soft shell crab. Everything was amazing then dessert topped it off. Hubby and I shared a pavlova bowl. Can't fault anything!
Probably the best Thai food place I've ever been to. Amazing food and drinks, really friendly staff, its usually quite loud so it's more suited for large family dinners or parties where you're not seeking to converse across the table. The beef tongue is to die for, if you visit you must try it.
Reserved a table for the evening and staff was talking in their language in front of us, pointing and shouting indirectly, ushering us to quickly finish so they could have their next customers. Situation could’ve been handled without the need to gossip in front of us with other staff members. Very disappointing
good food , good customer service. It's relatively pricey for the area. The restaurant is very noisy that it's hard to talk to people on your own table.
Went to this restaurant with a few friends and was led to our tables which we had booked beforehand and immediately felt very ushered to ordered. Towards the end of the night we once again felt very rushed to leave as the staff rudely pointed and gossiped in front our table so that other customers could sit. Situation could of been handled better without the staff needing to talk in their language in front of us and we would of kindly left without those unnecessary comments and remarks. Overall the experience came to a disappointing end because of the rude staff members.
Been here plenty of times before and went again last night for Mother's Day. Positives: the Tom Yum Fried Rice and Penang Curry was good, as was the Pandan Creme Brulee and Fried Ice Cream (can't go wrong with this). Negatives: Sadly, the food took way too long, up to an hour and portions were so much smaller than they used to be, especially for the Ox Tongue and Soft Shell Crab. Not sure if we'll come back again. Service and portions need to improve to justify the prices.
Great spot. A bit hidden away but definitely worth a try
