Great Eastern Hakka Restaurant

This place was quiet when we walked in at lunch time on a Wednesday. We ordered two pizzas and they were both fantastic! Very friendly staff and chefs who love what they do. I recommend you visit.

Delicious food and service with a smile... The manchurian pizza is a delight and so are all of Steve's creations we've tried thus far.

Good food and service, great Indian Chinese fusion food, interesting pizzas to chose from. Bit crowded but hey people are rushing to try their good food.

The cheap lunch is worth the 18 dollars. I had an included bottle of VB. The dishes on the menu are the best Chinese food I have eaten. I have been there several times. I won't eat the cheap lunch again. The waitress-owner speaks perfect Swedish, which I appreciated. .She is from Luleaa.

I'm a Sydneysider. Each time I visit Melbourne I just have to visit Great Eastern Hakka restaurant. The menu reflects the cultural background of the chef - Hakka, Indian and Swedish. A pizza in a Chinese restaurant? Why not... I'm not a pizza lover. However, their Swedish pizza (GORGONZOLA-eye fillet) is to die for. They also serve authentic hakka food with their own rice wine - which is rare in Australia. Ask Chef Steve or his wife Alex the owner for recommendations.

Best place for indian style chinese dishes..it has the flavour of the "Tangra",Chinese place in Kolkata, India.

Excellent fusion food based on Hakka Chinese cuisine. The Manchurian Pizza is a must try.
