I concur with previous comments: very nice staff, warm and comfortable food, peaceful ambiance. A simple gem.

Food is amazing. They have a $12.90 feast meal which is extremely filling. Would highly recommend if you're in the city, vego and hungry.

I had breakfast and lunch here one day. The brekky was delicious, I had a sandwich and a vege samosa, both being vegan. The lunch however, was extremely disappointing. I got the "all you can eat" plate, which included a variety of foods. The rice was not cooked properly, nor the papadams, the dhal and curry were both cold and overall the food was not very well made, I have had better food from a 2 minute boxed curry... I'd go here for breakfast, but avoid the lunch menu. Very disappointing compared to Govindas in Surfers Paradise... They need to take a leaf from their book and change things up if they want to thrive! The staff were also very grumpy, one lady was frowning at me the entire time and wouldn't even reciprocate a smile...

Amazing service, delicious food, so cheap and this has been the same from over 10 years ago! One of the best eats in Brisbane, highly recommended. Thank you very much everyone at Govinda's 👌

I'd die for Kofta here

I used to go there regularly until one day i got stomach infection from eating their samosa. It was that bad I felt was gonna die. Never going back to this place. I'm pretty sure their food makes trip to freezer and back.

Great Indian Buffet for just $8.50 each. Don't get confused and think buffet means you help yourself, because you don't. The food is served onto a plate and then you take it to your table. We had the smaller of the meal options and it was plenty. The curry wasn't too spicy, but very flavoursome. It's a small place, but we found somewhere to sit easily when we visited on a Saturday afternoon. Don't be put off by the area or the look of the place from the outside, because the food is delicious and well worth the stop.

As an avid meat eater, this place made me rethink vegetarian food. Having now eaten here for 15 years, it has set the standard for delicious vegetarian: filling, delicious, and cheap. Credit where credit is due - this place is amazing and I would recommend it to anyone.

Incredible experience! The food A++++ the staff A++++ the wine A++++ Absolutely incredible! Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable about wines and helped us pick the best selections with our food. We had the 7 course tasting menu and were blown away with the taste, the presentation and the knowledge from the staff about our food. Will definitely be heading there again, would have happily paid more for our experience!
