Good Fortune Roast Duck House

Walked in at 11:40am on a Saturday. We were begrudgingly waved to a table. No one came near us for 5 minutes. Waved a staff member over, she ignored us. Got up and walked out, nobody cared.

Really disappointed tonight, we called prior to see if we need a booking for 730 and they said no just walk in, and when we arrived just after 730pm we were turned away by a rude staff member at the door that told us at 730pm onwards they only do takeaway. We have been here before with usually a very nice experience, but this time we were very taken back by the rude service and misinformation, it was also our Valentines Day dinner which made it just a little bit worse.

Better than any other Hong Kong BBQ roast meat restaurant in the whole of Melb & VIC! Conveniently located in Northbridge amongst all the boba shops and walking distance to the brand new renovated WA museum. You can have the option of boneless or bone-in duck which is great for kids. 1. Impeccably clean dining area and toilets 2. Friendly lady boss - didn't shade us for bringing in boba from another store and didn't complain that we ordered one meal to share between two. 3. Consistency in taste even after 10 years and consistently tasty! 4. Yummy chili oil. 5. Comfortable seating. Well spaced out. 6. Love the video playing in the background showing how their delicious roast pork (siew yoke) and roast duck is made 7. They had a 10% dine in special in May2021 and $7 specials for Sweet & Sour Pork on rice and Hainan Chicken Rice. Great incentive to support local business!

Excellent food, fresh and fast even with the large group we had. Staff were friendly and prompt and happily worked around the kids we brought with us

Eftpos not accepted when you get lunch special!!?? Really??!! Sounds dodgy to me. Will ring up consumer affair to check if it is against the law. Taking my business elsewhere.

We had a "late" lunch here (around 4) and there were still people queueing up for takeaway but dining in was empty. The restaurant is very big with lots of seats. During lunch time (before 5pm), they will have two menus on 50% discount. On Monday was BBQ pork, down to AU$6, and vermicelli, down to AU$8. The BBQ pork is very good, it is not soft and oily but has a great taste. The vermicelli (thin noodles) had a Indian curry flavour, so it depends on if you like Indian curries or not. The beef in black pepper was pretty salty, you would have to definitely have it with rice. The STAR of the meal: the roast duck. It was VERY good, as expected, its soft, it tastes great, and it lives up to our expectations. A great place to dine at!

Special lunch time ,good price and good quality

Terrible service. Impatient cashier. Passive aggressive when I said I didn’t need a plastic bag for my food. Saying that I will regret not having it. Not sure why she is so unhappy with me not spending $0.50 for a bag when I can just carry it. Food was subpar. Can be a lot better for the price tag.

The service here is always good. Dishes are varied and have catered for every taste. The roast meats are moist and delicious. This place never disappoints.
