Level 1 Eagle Street Pier 1 Eagle Street NaN, Brisbane
It's a classic, great service, excellent presentation. Reasonable price and good portion size. Wife's and I go to nice night out spot, with a lovely view over the river looking at the story bridge.
Great food, excellent location within eagle street pier precinct. Lovely views of the river and story bridge especially at night.Staff provided good service with food delivered in a timely and orderly manner. Menu clearly states what is half price and what is not.
I came here a while back with my partner and I’ve caught myself craving the seafood chowder just then. The food is amazing. The service is fantastic. Midu was an exceptional waiter. He served us with joy, authenticity and kindness. He went above and beyond and really made the experience so much better. It was very cold, busy, spitting and raining that day but it was incredibly memorable. He took into account that we were sharing and placed the plates in a spot on the table where we wouldn’t have to move it. He ensured we well taken care of, he knew the products well, he answered all necessary questions. His upselling didn’t feel forced. He was calm and not pushy. It was very lovely to meet you! I hope to catch you there before your next endeavour.
We love coming to George's! Delicious seafood, great variety on the menu for both food and drinks. To top off the whole experience the view is amazing. Half price meals for lunch are crazily cheap and so so worth it. Top quality always!. Staff are always so friendly and accommodating. top recommendations include: seafood chowder and the veal scaloppini.
I was not impressed by this place at all. I went as a group of executives for work. The service was very poor; we waited a very long time before anyone came to take orders. When the waitress came with the drinks, she knocked a glass of red wine over herself and me. There was no apology, she was very rude about it and when I asked to have my suit dry cleaned, the waitress was angry and asked how any wine got on me, when she tipped out on herself. The manager, however, was much more polite and paid my dry cleaning bill. The food was not of good quality, I am vegetarian and, while the menu had a huge selection of seafood, they had only 3 vegetarian options and were not flexible about making anything different to the menu, even though the menu states 'vegetarian special, ask the staff'. When I asked the waitress about the vegetarian specials, all she did was tell me the three items already on the menu. Then our waitress did not return to our table at all and we were served by three other staff across the evening. The food was cheap, but in more ways than one. The price was low, but so was the quality. The ravioli I had was swimming in sauce. The sauce reminded me of cheap jar pasta sauce, watery, no spices and under-ripe tomatoes used, masked by excessive salt. The chips were not too bad, crunchy yet moist, but were supposed to be topped with feta cheese; the cheese was so minimal, there was barely enough for 1 chip. Needless to say, the group didn't stay fit dessert.
Delicious seafood, and an amazing view. Get in early for the evening, or go for lunch for reduced price meals. I strongly recommended the seafood paragon as a plate for 1. Staff friendly and happy to discuss options. 5 stars
Magic location overlooking the Brisbane River. Had a work lunch here and received our meals quite quickly despite our large table and business of the restaurant. Great variety of food available, even of you don't like seafood.
Great food .. good service communication.. misplaced one of our meals ..I understand staff were run off there feet. But maybe it is not best to argue about our missing meal in the front of house.. And a member rolling her eyes when the trainee advised her of the wrong person to give the meal to.. and a third staff member not impressed when my partner slipped on the wet floor near the front counter as your walking out.. seemed the night was stressful for the staff. But the food is always impeccable. We will be coming back.. and I do recommend dinning here.
Visited George’s Paragon in May for a work function I was hosting. We dined with around 9 guests when this was on a fairly busy Wednesday and we had half priced mains. The food was exceptional and serviced matched. The highlight was our oysters, steak and chicken parmigiana. Each dish made sense and was proportionally plated. The biggest financial opportunity in this restaurant is re-approaching for drinks. We had two rounds, we would have paid for a lot more but no one asked us. All tables looked to have this same opportunity.
Had a fantastic family dinner at George's Brisbane on 13 June. There were 12 of us and all the meals were excellent. The quality of food was only outdone by the level of service. Super attentive and helpful staff made the whole experience one to remember.
