46 The Promenade, Hope Island
Always a nice meal. Good food at cheap prices. Great location. Look forward to trying the pizza side next time
Food with a view. We have been to George's Paragon in Brisbane but by far we love the one at Sanctuary Cove. The drive up to the restaurant, the interior decoration and service that the team provided was a really nice experience. I must say, it's a perfect place for a romantic dinner or a get together with family or friends. If you're not a seafood person there is still plenty of other meals to choose from. I would recommend their Lamb Fillets, Prawn Fettuccine and Garlic Prawns. To the night staff, the chef and kitchen hand, although we wernt the last group out, a big thank you for staying open late and working as hard as you guys did. We all had a really lovely experience and will be returning again in the new year x
We went to Georgeβs for breakfast and coffee and was greeted with such a great experience. The staff was very friendly, the ambience was incredible and we got to meet Mr.George himself. He is a very welcoming gentleman and provided us with great hospitality. The Croissants and Greek biscuits were delicious. If you are going to Sanctuary Cove Highly recommend this place.
Great atmosphere, friendly service by Staff, especially Emily at the dining table. Thank you Emily. π Relaxing, smiles, chats and a great night out.
I have had 2 experiences at this restaurant. The first, 4 years ago, was great. The second was 2 days ago and extremely disappointing. We were in a group of 5 adults and 3 children. As a result of our "large" group, and despite arriving 20 minutes after opening time, the only 2 large group tables were taken. As a result we were offered 2 tables next to each other. This wasn't ideal as it was a birthday celebration and since we were family we preferred to sit together. We asked if we could join 2 tables together, however were initially told that this was not allowed due to social distancing (despite this not being applicable to us considering we were family). Nevertheless, we agreed to stay and take 2 tables side by side. As we started taking our seats a lovely young waitress came over and explained that she had obtained permission to join 2 tables after all. As a result, she started shuffling tables. A male in our group started to offer her help, however at this point a very rude and abrupt male staff member rushed over raising his voice that this was not allowed. He picked up the table and moved it back despite the waitress attempting to explain the circumstances to him. This staff member was the most rude, arrogant and offensive person I have ever come across in the hospitality industry. It is safe to say that as a result of how poorly we were treated in that moment, we will never return again. If you plan to attend this restaurant in a large group for any sort of celebration I strongly suggest you reconsider, as they really don't cater to this.
Well I have really missed going to George's, beautiful atmosphere, fabulous food. I have NEVER had a bad meal over seventeen years of going there to eat. To me that means the world, consistency is a big problem with a lot of restaurants. If u r on the Gold Coast add it to yr to do list, u won't be disappointed.
A wonderful experience in an amazing position at Sanctuary Cove overlooking the marina I always feel very spoilt here with all the staff so attentive. We have been here many times and always feel what a great experience. Brenda Watson.
Good selection of food and drinks, especially if you're in the mood for seafood, which they have plenty of choices. Been here quite a few times before and surely will be dining here again
Lovely place for dinner, food is usually very good. Reasonably priced, alcohol quite expensive though. Staff is usually very attentive, unless they are run off their feet. Perhaps could do with more staff at busy times. As feedback, I'd like to see them offer more range of salad or vegies when requested rather than chips as a side. You don't get a chance to change the sides unless you pay for them. It's the closest thing we'll get to the Greek Islands again for a long time, and it's a fun setting.
Georges is one of our favourites. The meals are tasty, the atmosphere is beautiful and the service is great! Prices are very reasonable. I have the eye fillet with garlic prawns for $29π. Highly recommended!
