The Fox and Hounds Restaurant

Called in yesterday afternoon around 3pm for a drink. The bar / restaurant area is so dark & dingy. The chap at the desk when we entered was not very sociable. After getting our drinks we sat at a table near the window. As it was so dark we opened the curtains which were absolutely filthy. The window ledges hadn't seen a duster in a very long time & the dirty windows still had remained of Christmas decorations on them.Our table was also sticky. As there were not any eateries near where we were staying we decided to drive back there for dinner. We sat at the same table near the window which was still sticky. The same chap greeted us but couldn't talk very well as he had a mouth full of cake he informed us. The meals were OK,

Very average service from the staff and the prawns in my seafood dish were not fresh. I could not eat all of my meal due to the off taste and sent it back to the kitchen. We will not be eating there again.

Dinner was lovely! Could not fault the salmon. Table was sticky but we think that was because of the cleaner they used due to COVID sanitising procedures. Would definitely go again.

Food was good but we had to wait 1.5hours for food

Great prices, good food, fantastic service only down side was the dining area was a bit dirty and had odd chairs at the table

Views from the room overlooking the bay are beautiful Dinner was very nice and priced extremely well I found the the whole experience to be very nice and friendly, when you take into account how these businesses have been so effected by covid it is outstanding to see them still open and providing these services for us to enjoy

Great service, food was brilliant. Really enjoyed my fish and chips, other people were getting pizzas, which looked great as well.
