The Cutting, Port Elliot
Can't fault the food but when it's served with a side of arrogant waitress it takes away the experience. Hospitality must always be number one.
Often travel from Adelaide to get the T/A flathead or the 'seafood basket' with my wife. Unfortunately, the quality of the fish and cooking has dropped dramatically. Purchased both dishes today and both were of very poor quality and cooking. The flathead was dry and yellow . The fish in the 'seafood basket' was so soaked in oil as to be unedible Very disappointing.
This venue needs a good clean and a new coat of paint, the exterior and interior looks very tired. Fish and chips were on par, friendly service
Fish and chip and salt and pepper serves are enormous - beware. Outdoor area is nice on a fine day with some seating on the picnic benches on the beach side. Very busy during the summer holidays of course!
Very good meal an great service too
Why do I rate this place 5 stars?!?! This right here! Crunchy beer batter, soft moist fish and crunchy chips And a perfect view to boost. It's as good as fish and chips can be. This was simply perfect and washed it down with a nice cold beer and pretty epic way to spend a Sunday afternoon. 🍟🐟
Food is great! Beautiful views of the ocean right at its doorstep!
Nice fish and chips place overlooking scenic Horseshoe bay
Overpriced, the food is lacking in quality. Our fish was over fried and the belly pork was so dry it was inedible. The staff weren't friendly at all, had an air of arrogance about them that was very clear. Waited 40 minutes for food. We left feeling that paying $100+for 2 people to eat was a rip off.
We're regular locals, and for good reason. Very tasty fish and chips.
