Stopped in to get a coffee and bite to eat before going on to Alice Springs. While the facilities looked great, customer service wasn't a very high standard. I was walking back from the rest room to go inside and saw the manager abusing an indigenous artist with foul language to not sell or show tourists their art work, hunting them off the premises. I later saw there was a 'no hawking' sign, which I was informed meant no selling. If I didn't know what it meant then how were they meant to know? I was a bit taken back but the worst was yet to come when on my way back to Adelaide we stopped in again seeing there wasn't many customers there. I went in to order a Chico and coffee, and you wouldn't believe what happened, the 2 staff members started mocking my name and laughing at me. So rude, I felt like this road house has no customer service values I will never stop in here ever again. The only reason that road house has survived in its location at the turn off for Ayers Rock otherwise it wouldn't be there at all.I have written quite a few reviews given reviews on their merits of customer service food and generally they are places you want to go back to but this is not the case here.

I got a sweet stubby holder from this place. Strict limit of 1 per customer so they don't end up in the wrong hands.

My husband and I had tea in the restaurant and it was DELICIOUS!!! The pumpkin and feta salad was the best Ive ever had. Hubby had the t-bone with mushroom sauce, potato mash and veges - he said the steak was FANTASTIC and it was a massive steak. Top value for money!!! The staff are warm, friendly and welcoming. We fed the emus too. Great place!!!

Beautiful place. The rooms are spacious. They have motel rooms as well camping site. Rooms are 3/5 but what you can expect in the middle of desert. They have swimming pool facilities, restaurant and a pub. We stopped there to visit Uluru. Uluru is 2.5 hours drive from the motel. This is also the center of Australia.

Caravan park was good, reception girls were great.give the tavern a miss, the old bloke serving in the bar was the rudest barman ive ever met,he ignored us for 5 minutrs, then grunted at us,did not say thankyou, and did not answer when we said thanks and goodbye, since then we have been told he has this reputation far and wide, just a very sad insignificant person,we will never stop here again and our yearly trip with us and bus load wont go there again,as long as the owner doesnt mind their staff treating guests like this then reviews probably dont matter.

Erldunda Roadhouse Visited on 6/5/2019, 15/6/2019 There is no competition in this outback surround. The rooms building is made out of weather board or hardy plank, and it was cold during our stay. Stayed there on two occasions, and the experiences were different. The interior was dated, and the cleanliness can be improved. Due to its openness, our car windscreen was covered with thin film of ice one morning. The water from the tap is not drinkable. The motel provided two / three small bottles of water. My wife and I had to use water brought from Melbourne for brushing teeth, rinsing washing, making hot beverages and just plain drinking. During the first occasion, several rooms connected to the same power circuit did not have power from the power points except the one for the television. The office was closed and no maintenance staff could be contacted to restore the power. Mobile phone services were not available via Optus and Vodafone, and therefore the duty manager or staff could not be contacted even though the manager’s mobile number was given for patron to call him in time of urgent attention was required. If you are a light sleeper, there is a good chance you may be woken up by your next room neighbour getting up to go to the toilet, or neighbor walk around in the room late at night. The floor is very creaky. It has a sunset viewing platform, enclosed areas for kangaroos, camels and emus. WIFI is only available in the reception area. It has a large dining room, and a bar. The downside of the accommodation is compensated by its value-for-money meal.

Erldunda Roadhouse is a good place to stop between Alice Springs and Uluru. There are gas pumps, clean rest rooms, a snack bar, and lots of emus. I recommend this place.
