Had take away and the pan fried dumplings were awesome. The dumplings were also incredible value.

Rarely a good night out in the city starts anywhere else but Empress. Fast, no fuss service, BYO and cheap as chips. Can't go past the fried eggplant, the mixed vegetables with garlic sauce and the chilli wontons. Perfect for pres before a night out with a big group of friends, a quick dinner before a show or gig or just a fun dinner in the city.

Not only is this restaurant delicious and incredibly affordable with a great vibe but when we went on Saturday they charged us the wrong bill, texted me after to tell me (we were caught up in the moment and hadn't noticed) then refunded what we had overpaid. What a wonderful restaurant and team! 10/10 will be back.

The best food in Chinatown, beats the Flowerdrum hands down with foot, simplicity and honest and attentive staff. But above all the value for money of off the chart! Well done guys, keep it up.

Terrible service, incredibly rude waitstaff, and poor quality food. Honey chicken was pink and raw as were the pan fried dumplings. Chicken fried rice was bland and slimy. Completely inedible, and we left for fear of food poisoning. An awful experience. Will not return, nor recommend.
