very average food but lovely view. won't go back to eat..don't mind having drinks only

Used to go there regularly with my dog and friends, sometimes for food and sometimes for coffee. The staff used to be polite and the place was amazing. Went there yesterday for a coffee. The place was ALMOST EMPTY and the staff said you cannot sit to have coffee only, YOU MUST BUY FOOD. I felt this preposterous considering there was almost no one else sitting there and I only wanted coffee with a friend, so I left. I assured the staff member I will share my experience online. Never going again.

Delightful fresh seafood platter and reasonably priced.

What was most important to us when booking was that it was dog friendly. We sat outside and the views were stunning. The food was just as amazing. We had a different experience to some of the reviews on here. We came on New Year’s Day. They didn’t have to be open but thank you for opening your doors for us to celebrate the beginning of a new year.

Great service, food was amazing and the location is just the icing on the cake. Went here for my wife’s birthday on the 13th of March 2021 and was really happy with our entire experience. Definitely recommended!!!

I recently tried the new brunch offering at Empire and can say it was a great dining experience. Everything from the friendly staff, smooth coffee, fresh pastries and perfectly poached eggs was outstanding. Beautiful views the whole time you dine too made for that extra something that is sometimes lacking at venues. Highly recommend the brunch offering and I'll be back to try more from the a la carte menu soon. Keep up the great work.

After I made a booking with Sydney Seaplanes for a surprise lunch at Cottage Inn for my husbands birthday I thought it would be nice to meet friends and family for dinner and decided to make a reservation at Empire Lounge to make it all easy for us after the day out with 2 little kids. While food was nice, nothing spectacular but still delicious and portion size was great, service was good too and everything would have been nice BUT. As I made a booking through the website I could only write a note, that I do require two high chairs as I have 2 little kids with me (my boys are 2 and 3,3) so for me to enjoy any meal they have to be seated in a high chair otherwise it's a chasing game. More over, I want other guests to enjoy their time and not to have my kids to run in between their tables. Well, there was more than enough time I think to give me a call to let me know that you do not have high chairs at all because if I would have known that, I would cancel my booking. However noone called,left any voicemail, sent email, noone notified me about it all, considering that it was a special request. In my opinion, it is very unprofessional, especially considering it was a dinner for a special occasion on which I could not enjoy my meal, neither my mother in law, because we had to constantly look after my kids so they don't disturb other guests.
