Visited around 10am. Great coffee, beautiful (and interesting) food and wonderful service all come together with a lovely decor and delightful outdoor area. I won’t deduct any points for it, but the toilets could be improved - like mop the floor and clean the walls...

This place is a consistent fave for locals and visitors and one visit is enough to show why. The service is especially good, your enjoyment clearly matters to the staff. The ambience is bubbly and busy and the food very good. The menu is good. I had a variation of Eggs Benedict, hot, tasty and pleasing, above average in every way. The bacon included was hot and perfectly cooked, the croquettes crunchy and textured, and all so flavoursome. In a party of 12+ not one grumble was heard. Their big brekky included seriously good pork and fennel sausages but for Freo folk it’s down to the coffee, the coffee was excellent! I left with some coconut almond cake for afternoon tea, it looked so good I just couldn’t resist. What a range of treats. Nothing pedestrian about DDB! The day was wild and wet, the street outside being shredded and semi blocked by huge roadworks and still Duck Duck Bruce was full and hopping. Enough said.

I don’t often leave reviews, but i just feel i should let people know how bloody good this place is!!! We went in for a bit of late breakfast we had our daughter in a pram, we were shown to a good table where we could sit easily, we were told the kitchen was about to close but they let us order not feeling rushed, we had awesome coffee, even more awesome food we shared the pancakes and the eggplant dish. I don’t think there is enough stars to give. If your thinking of going just go you wont be disappointed! We will be back!!

Highly recommended. Had amazing porridge here today with Linda Garrett. No wonder there are queues.

Had an amazing brunch at Duck Duck Bruce! The vanilla pancakes (Orange is The New Stack) and the hash browns with poached eggs (We're All Going on a Summer Hollandaise) were a 10/10. Coffee was pretty damn good too. Also, do yourself a favour and grab a brownie on your way out, possibly the best brownie I've ever had. A word of warning, the place gets pretty busy!
