This place is a consistent fave for locals and visitors and one visit is enough to show why. The service is especially good, your enjoyment clearly matters to the staff. The ambience is bubbly and busy and the food very good. The menu is good. I had a variation of Eggs Benedict, hot, tasty and pleasing, above average in every way. The bacon included was hot and perfectly cooked, the croquettes crunchy and textured, and all so flavoursome. In a party of 12+ not one grumble was heard. Their big brekky included seriously good pork and fennel sausages but for Freo folk it’s down to the coffee, the coffee was excellent! I left with some coconut almond cake for afternoon tea, it looked so good I just couldn’t resist. What a range of treats. Nothing pedestrian about DDB!
The day was wild and wet, the street outside being shredded and semi blocked by huge roadworks and still Duck Duck Bruce was full and hopping. Enough said.
