I purchased a cake yesterday 26/9 at around 430 for my mums birthday. I purchased the gorgeous strawberry and pistachio cream sponge cake. Once we cut into the cake and sliced it up for everyone we were applauded by the cake as the strawberries within the cake were all rotten! It was rather embarrassing to serve rotten cake to friends and family. It was honestly inedible as some of the sponge layers reeked of spoilt fermented sponge from the strawberries.

While many have rated this Bakehouse highly, at lunch even though their steak and steak & mushroom pies looked appealing they failed miserably with very little meat content, a thin gravy and virtually uncooked base pastry - most disappointing.

$20 for 6 small hot cross buns. Absolute rip off. We've been buying them there for years but won't be back.

Love this place so much. Wraps are awesome. The sausage rolls are amazing and every single one of those amazing pastries in the window are worth every last cent! I can never go past an almond croissant and this one did not disappoint. So good. They have cakes there too!

The best thing about mornings in Drummoyne is having a coffee made by Daniel, Barista at the Bakehouse whose coffee is only matched by his great service and friendly disposition.

Yes very popular for a reason. The cheese and spinach rolls are the best I've ever had.
