Dosa Hut

big big disappointment!!! we ordered a chilli goat and a vege manchurian(both with gravy). we were actually very excited till the food comes to the table because we had a really good dining experience with DOSA HUT IN CLAYTON. anyway when we taste both dishes we felt like eating fresh tomatoes. both dishes only had the tomato taste. nothing at all. however we told the owner/ manager who actually did not do anything at all. very very very poor customer service. that was the worst person ever. does not know how to even talk to a customer. said that it was their standard and nothing can be done. didn’t even ask whether we wanted it to be remade or changed or modified abit atleast. if the manager/owner is this unprofessional, no wonder about the staff. really don’t want to come to this place and will not recommend it to anybody. this is not the first time we are having indo chinese food, and me being a chef, i know how it taste like. so if its your standard please do change it now, otherwise you’re loosing customers big time. and after being in australia, try to change your attitudes and behaviour and learn to handle a customer first.

Tasty food, friendly owner and staff. Location is very convenient and ample parking. We will certainty visit again .

Edit: Updating my review after many great meals at Dosa Hut. They are now one of our top takeaway spots for Indian food. I am now a big fan of their biryanis. Wish they had some non spicy food for the little ones though - they end up with a Macca's while the adults enjoy their curries. :-)

Great food. Service could be better. Nothing against the waiters on duty, they bent over backwards to serve, but only 2 waiting staff for a full restaurant is certainly a recipe for disaster.

Went there for a birthday party and the banquet hall facilities are nice. The hall was perfect to accommodate 60 ppl

Got Uber eat based on a really good experience at the venue 12 months ago, absolute disappointment! One dish was just onions & cream with two small koftas! Had to go out to local shop to buy more dishes for guests as couldn’t serve the dish, delayed the dinner and there goes your night! Worst Kofta dish ever tried in Melbourne in 20 years ☹️ Although, Veg Kholapuri was good enough but rest of the dishes were way off the mark.

Terrible service Slow and dreadful Ghee dosa was inedible Obviously poorly managed. Compared to the Clayton branch this is a big disappointment

Worst service one can ever get from the staff and stupidity at its best by staff who let the people unattended on tables and the staff is trained to ask customers what they want rather than greeting at the enterance.

Totally recommended the large family/Jumbo biryani !
