Deep South Chicken

I have been here a fair few times now. My favourite food on the coast. Always great service and even better food. Never had one issue with an order or food. And it isn't an understatement to say the taste of the food is of biblical proportions.

The service here is absolutely lovely, we barely had to wait and they gave us some free sauces! The value and quality of this place is fantastic, its my favourite chicken spot on the GC. Have come back many times and introduced friends. Would love to see some gravy on the menu!

Amazing food, good value!

I’ve eyed out Deep South Chicken for a year or so now, today I finally pulled the trigger and went in to give it a try after seeing the reviews, WOW did this place not disappoint, the Taste and the size of the chicken were next level. I usually find it quite easy eating a large meal at another Fried chicken joint but left unsatisfied, but Deep South Chicken did not disappoint the tenderness and Juiciness of there chicken out preforms any other fried chicken I’ve ever had. The Chips were also amazing and crisp, they must fry them in the same oil because the chips tasted like the chicken seasoning. The Sauce we had was also beautiful. (Honey Mustard) I’m usually someone who doesn’t do takeaway because I hate getting home and having cold food but after driving roughly 10 minutes home the chicken and chips were still sizzling. Good Job Deep South Chicken, ill definitely be seeing you again.

Crunchiest, juiciest, most tender chicken you've ever had! Definitely worth a visit. Good sauces and cornbread too! As a Southern expat, this is a true gem on the Gold Coast. Mouth is watering just thinking about it...

The most CRISPY and moist fried chicken I have ever had!! Bought the family pack two days apart, amazing chicken, mmmmm. The chicken with the bone is the tastiest with more flavour than the boneless/tender. The sides are average tho. Chips average, not bad but not something I would get if it wasn't in the family pack. I personally don't like the potato salad. The potato salad sauce is actually amazing but the let down is how hard the potatoes are... Seems a bit too uncooked for me. Otherwise yes, get the chicken.

It's quite tasty but I think the issue is me. I don't think my body likes the oil the chicken is cooked in. Also for my personal liking it's a bit heavy on garlic and paprika. Great staff and good pricing. Good to try and decide for yourself

The Chicken is great and really not that dry, the seasoning on the chips are good as well, a little bit of a kick of spice (Plus the Sauces), the staff is great and helpful. If you're looking for chicken other than KFC then this place is super good! 10/10
