Strongly recommend Denmark house! DANISH SMØRREBRØD (OPEN SANDWICHES) are all lovely creature made by the master chef. Classy atmosphere added with a tint of danish royal feeling. So lucky Melbourne could have this authentic danish restaurant. 💜💜🇩🇰🇩🇰

If you miss Smørrebrød, a traditional Danish open-faced sandwich, this is the place to get your fix. Located in the same building with Denmark Consulate General, the resto will bring you back to Copenhagen. Food was great, as well as the service.

What a wonderful place! The food and staff are outstanding. The open sandwiches are so varied and every one is delicious. Come here if you're looking for a taste of Danish culture (and food).

This place serves the most amazing smørebrød, reminds me of Denmark! If you think toppings on rye bread sounds dry and boring, think again! The toppings range from traditional Danish salmon and herring to modern Korean chicken and juicy mushrooms. To top it off, the service is prompt and friendly, the space is roomy and comfortable, and the venue is suitable for large groups as well as babies and children. Denmark house simply ticks all the boxes!

Being Danish is essential. To all legendary Danish ppl out there great and small, from 100% to 0.05% Danish: you miss Denmark you come here, minus the flights and customs. Beer, authentic smørrebrød, hotdogs, very healthy cuisine. I was thinking of having 2 plates of Feed Me Danish, I might give a try, that is how good the dishes are to me. please note my taste buds are metal detectors crossed with infrared machines. Have taken my step niece to the place for a snack to get to taste the prestige dishes of Denmark House. Planning to take my primary school friend to this place. Danish beers are excellent for health, both for your blood and for your skin (if you dont want to waste the beer) That is my experience just saying.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal here with friends the other day. Everything was tasty and the service was friendly and welcoming, even for Danish cuisine novices.

Excellent service & efficient staff. Lunch was amazing value as it was a Groupon voucher & the food kept flowing. Would definitely recommend.

Description

Restaurant & Bar Dansk is hidden away on the top floor of Denmark House in the heart of the legal precinct, accessible via the lift at 428 Little Bourke St. The seasonal menu is created by Danish executive chef Bente Grysbaek whose culinary inspiration comes from her time as sous chef in some of Copenhagen's most famous Michelin Star restaurants and neither the food, interior design or atmosphere at Dansk will disappoint even the most hardcore danophile, scandinavian design lover or food connoisseur - in fact arriving at Dansk is akin to a "beam-me-up-Scotty" experience having left ground floor Most-Liveable-City of Melbourne and arriving in inner City-of-Cool Copenhagen in a short ride to the 3rd floor. No passport required on this journey, but bring your English-Danish Travellers dictionary and prepare for an authentic bite sized taste of what makes Copenhagen the culinary capital of Scandinavia and Denmark home to the happiest people in the world.
