Custard Canteen

Cracking custard tarts (+4 stars) and really bad coffees (-2 stars ). Tasted like cups of poorly-frothed hot milk with no crema. Will be back for pastry but not for my caffeine hit.

Good place with a good outdoor, decorated with nature and nice wooden seats. On the menu the coffee is hard to read as they not mention very well what type of coffee they have and for tourists it’s difficult to understand.

Yummy food however can be quite messy to eat. Got the prawn po roll and had trouble lifting up the bun without everything falling out. Perhaps they could slice the prawns and vegetables.

3.5 stars - Came here for lunch and most of baked goodies were gone. Tried: • Karaage burger - really small portion, only had 1 fried chicken piece. Flavours were good along with the bun • Veggie sausage roll - had curry spices which was nice but definitely not worth the price • coffee - average, very watery • egg tart - not that great. Did not have the right texture and flavours, had jelly like consistency • almond croissant tart - delightful, not too sweet and beautiful flavours • Apple custard slice - amazing, pastry was flaky and delicious

Had the egg and bacon roll, was really good, the service was fantastic and can be found in a brilliant location 🥐

The food is tasty and very affordable.The staff are very friendly and very accomodate.The view and the scenery is a perfect place to look around and drop by.Will come back again soon. 😊

Location is great ,food is excellent but what really made our visit awesome was the amazing staff who went above and beyond to help my 8 year old daughter after she spilt her drink on herself .thank you so much we will be back .

Best fish and chips ever. Couldn’t ask for anything more for a day at the beach. Staff are super easy going too!

The food is perfect! I ordered prawns poboy on milk buns and egg tarts and they are absolutely divine! This place is dog friendly too which I like. A hidden treasure if you haven't found this yet.
