196 Victoria St 3121, Richmond
A safe bet for eating out on Victoria street.
Been here many times, and I always get the same thing- rare beef noodle soup (menu 13 i think). The broth is so deep and rich, the noodles are fresh, and the beef is tasty and tender. It comes with beansprouts and Asian basil. I also recommend the sweet BBQ pork. The staff are friendly also. You can't go wrong for $13 for the soup-the portion is huge
Food was basic but mainly wanted to point out it was not a family friendly restaurant. My niece has Autism and the waitress told us off as if she can't see we were trying to calm her down. Very rude as we leaving as well.
I've been to CoDo a couple of times now, seeing as so many Vietnamese restaurants on Vic St have closed due to Covid, no business. I had the Regular Beef Pho with Rare and Braised Beef, (Med $13.5) Which was nice. I think there was an overdose of Msg in it, as I was super thirsty and brain tingling afterwards. A few pieces of the Beef was rather tough, but I injoyed the Pho overall. I tried Bahn Bo Nhan Thit for the first time, rice flour pancakes with minced meat and sauce. ($10) It was delish! 🙆 Pretty good service and at least I got acknowledged, better than another Vietnamese Restaurant I went to in Preston.
The Bun Bo Hue was a delicious and well balanced broth, and I'm told it's fairly authentic and is what this restaurant is known for.
I love this place. It's difficult to stand out amongst a sea of Vietnamese restaurants but this place does (and does it well). If you've had the pleasure of visiting Vietnam and are looking for a place that can dish out a mean Com Tam like you'd get over there then look no further.
If you're in Richmond and want a tasty fresh Vietnamese feed that's easy on the wallet, look no further than this place. Grab a beer from a nearby liquor store and happily throw it down whilst you're munching on a hot crispy spring roll, your taste buds will thank you for the experience.
Excellent authentic Vietnamese cuisine. Very generous portions and decent price. Service was efficient. Will definitely be back
Nice vietnamese noodle soup. Very tasty.
This Vietnamese restaurant have another branch in Sunshine. Their signature dish is the Hue style chilli beef soup. The broth is deep in flavour and have a nice balance of meat and spiciness. The dry noodle is also great and you can choose to have it either with egg or rice noodles. The spring rolls were pretty average. Food - 8 Service - 8 Vibe - 8 Price - $$
