Lovely food, polite staff. I'd prefer about an extra 1/3 of the main course on top to be called a main course.
Lovely place and the 3 other people with me thought there mains were great but I had the fish of the day which consisted of a tiny piece of fish and a few shellfish for what I felt was alot of money... I felt ripped off to be honest so I'd recommend everything but that. The wait staff were all friendly and efficient
Overly expeensive
Was nice food no doubt about that, but few things have changed since I d been there last. like no bread at all for table like they used too and little canapes have stopped also. I just felt your paying more for less and portion sizes also have reduced.13 for tap beer and not a pint is a bit steep
Great food. Lovely people on the floor. Attentive service. Chocolate beetroot cake was a bit underwhelming. Still worth a tip though.
A bit of a disappointment. On the plus side: attentive service; decent serving sizes; and a good wine list. On the down side: Limited menu; the crumbed veal cutlet was a massive slab of dry, crumbed meat screaming for a sauce of some form....any form would have helped. All you could taste was dry, salty breadcrumbs - it wasn't enjoyable at all; one of our party had an intolerance to one of the accompaniments of their chosen dish - when asked if a relatively simple substitution of ingredients might be possible, the answer was a blunt 'no' - it could be removed, but not substituted, and with the limited menu there weren't many options for other choices. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.
very nice place to eat if you want food that is a little more adventurous. i had the lambs brains which I have eaten since childhood so had a huge expectation and was not let down, soft and creamy, very fresh and not over loaded. they were crumbed lightly and with a mild sauce that really only gave the protein something to work against. would truly recommend, even to a first timer. I also had the steak , my only warning it it is a lot of meat and i should have ordered some carbs to go with it but all in all well done. the service was quick and attentive. the only thing i would say to the management is we found the lighting very dull, and the menu hard to read. don't hide the food or the menu their both excellent. I would encourage the chef to explore more offal options, its hard to get but so worth it.
From the scallops to gnocchi, everything was delicious. Friendly service too.
Excellent food We got the eye fillet, and spaghetti nero. Steak cooked to perfection, tasted amazing. Pasta was delicious. Great service
