Went to chapters today after hearing so many positive reviews and it definitely did not disappoint. Chef was happy to accommodate menu variations, Kevin who served our table was more than happy to go out of his way to make conversation and make us all laugh fantastic service. Food was absolutely excellent and drinks were great too. If your from the north east of England please go on a Thursday as they do a teeside parmo which is just like the original!

Took my Mum for a birthday lunch today . The service was incredibly and the food was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed their food and loved the cocktails. Highly recommend this restaurant, it was our first time and we will definitely return

Ate here a while ago now with my sister and we ordered a burger. I really don't want to sound bad here but there was no flavor in the patties. The bun was ok, the filling was bland, it had no meaning in the burger and the patty tasted like nothing. Like I was biting into blended up wood shavings and cardboard. There was little to no texture in the burger either. I'm not opposed to giving this place another go but as far as a recommendation goes, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I also tried the lemon pie dessert. All I tasted was a mouth full of sugar. I could barley taste the lemon filling. It was too sweet. However I did like the atmosphere and decoration of the restaurant. It was very how to put this, very soothing. The wait staff were very friendly with amazing smiles on their faces but I didn't see a whole lot going on in the kitchen. Sorry to be negative but I wasn't pleased with the food. But on a side note, Ill be back soon to give it another go. P.S Sorry for the late review and again I don't want any feelings hurt Happy smiles Billie :-)

Had dinner here tonight and it was fantastic. I had the spicy chorizo with prawns and spaghetti, I offered my wife a taste and she ended up taking over my plate and handing me her lamb rack. It was pretty damn good. Her lamb rack was also very nice. Others on our table had the fish and chips and their signature burger with hand cut chips. No complaints and everyone really loved their food. We had the triple chocolate tart with orange compote for dessert. Just magic.....very rich and very delicious. Service was quick and attentive. Looking forward to coming back again soon for dinner again. Wasn't advertised but kids ate for free with the purchases of our main meals which was a pleasant surprise when I went to pay.

It's very fancy and a bit pricey, basically not my cup off tea. I personally prefer being only a little bit adventuress with my food. If you follow along with my reviews you will also notice I prefer to spend as little as possible. So personally I had a hard time finding a dish that was to my tastes and was in my price range. The portions are pretty descent, and the quality of the food was good. However, there where some strange contradictions to its fanciness . The food took a while, one of the orders was wrong, one of the glasses was dirty and my spoon looked like it was very well used (scratched up). In their defense, the server immediately recognized and removed the dirty cup, and they offered to make the correct dish when we mentioned it. Since we didn't want to wait again we ate the incorrect dish which was still nice.

One of our meals didnt come out and staff weren't bothered. We got a refund but no appology. Need new management

Love Chapters, attentive staff, great atmosphere and great food. Sunday lunch is our favourite but have tried most dishes on menu and not been disappointed. Recommend trying some cocktails, they normally have a special or two to try

My first time here but had heard a lot of good reviews. Friendly greeter and was seated promptly . The house wine was delivered warm and not enough ice in the bucket to cool it so we had to ask for a glass of ice. Starter of chorizo & feta and honey walnut baked brie were sensational. Parmi special and vegetable tarte tatin for mains were very nice but my guest's meal didn't come with the garlic prawns as described, which we advised, instead of waiting for another meal we asked to take it off the bill. Upon paying there was a mix up with our bill but all was settled to our satisfaction. Would definitely go again
