Canberra Southern Cross Club Jamison

I requested a vodka raspberry - something basic for a club, not like they’re highly trained anyway. The bartender handed me a shot of vodka with a shot of raspberry cordial. I must’ve given her a funny look, to which she responds “oh do you want ice?”. Weirdest bar experience of my life. Food was below average, burger patty didn’t even cover the whole bun - fish tasted funky. I won’t be back.

On Tuesday nights the Canberra Southern Cross Club Jamison has a Schnitzel Tuesday. All chicken schnitzel meals are heavily discounted for members and nonmembers. I went for the "True Blue" chicken schnitzel, it's a standard chicken schnitzel with chips and salad plus caramelised onion, melted cheese, bacon and a fried egg. It's a huge meal and the schnitzel itself is large. I also asked for a jug of Hollandaise sauce to make this a 'Courtney'. The only thing that could make this better would be to use thigh meat rather than breast meat. I highly recommend this meal.

Extreme rip off 25 dollars for a chicken schnitzel plus $4 to have gravy with the meal, the schnitzel was so tiny just look, I took a photo. the mash was an ice cream scoop worth of obviously reheat mash potato from lunch service. Their food costs must be amazing pitty it comes at the expense of the customers value for money. I would have been more then happy to pay the extra 4 dollars for the 40mls of gravy, if only I got a decent sized meal. But then again no gravy with your meal is that just a little bit greedy? This club once felt like value for money not anymore.

This was delicious meals with great customer service also $7 meals, I had Crumbled Fish with chips and salad that it was divine!!

Nice place to relax with friends. Good service. Foods a little on the expensive side but a great venue.

Couldn't even get an orange juice with my meal as they close a bar early and kept directing me to other bars. Cheap but overpriced food with poor service.

Spacious, clean and comfortable chairs. Good selection of fresh beers on tap and a nice bistro with a good selection of well made and interesting meals. The lamb burger is particularly good.
