Can Tho Vietnamese & Chinese Restaurant

The absolutely best Laksa in all of Canberra. My husband and I frequent here to celebrate, and also recommend it to many of our friends and family!

I’ve been going to Can Tho for many years and the experience has always been pretty good. The service I would say is slightly below average, with the waiters being a bit rude at times and having that “I don’t really care” attitude. Pho is something I always get at Vietnamese restaurants and here it is ok. The serving size is def more than other Viet restaurants but the broth was really lacking and bland. The wings were definitely over coated with battered but tasted nice. Overall nice causal restaurant with decent prices.

Disappointing and unpleasant does not even begin to describe my meal. I ordered the Hai Nam Chicken (poached chicken with rice). The chicken looked grey and unappetising, the taste was beyond bland and off-putting. It really upset my taste buds and stomach that I couldn't have more than 2 pieces. My friend also commented on the odd colour of the chicken, suspecting it was old. Drenching the chicken in the sauce provided did not help to cover the foul taste. The rice tasted better than the chicken. Left me feeling nauseous! 🤢

Chili chicken wings were wrapped in thick deep fried batter with a couple of sliced chilies thrown in (no flavour of heat) and the beef bun was more like a Chinese meal. Bitterly disappointed after my second meal there. It’s a Chinese restaurant- no hint of traditional Vietnamese food. Sorry 😆

Really good pho, lovely food and really great service here :)

The roasted quail on that menu is $7.5, when we ordered the waiter said it will cost $10, because it large than normal and the normal one is small with illegal.....

The food we picked up was good enough, but it wasn't what we ordered. The man taking the phone order didn't speak English well, and only half of the 4 person order was correct. Maybe put a better English speaking on the phone next time...

We have been to this restaurant many times over many years and have enjoyed eating their very tasty and generous servings of food. The owners are nice people and staff are alright. I recommend this place to everyone - awesome!

Good food, lots of parking across the road.

Great value with various menu choices. Crispy pork chop rice is good.
