Bistro 1947 Indian Cuisine

The best Indian restaurant i have discovered in Melbourne. Have tried so many restaurants but was never happy. Finally found a place. Have been ordering food from last few months and this place never disappoints. Every single dish is worth trying. Would highly recommend.

Fantastic curries, tasty biryani, pillowy yet crunchy naan bread. This will be my new go to for Indian takeaway. I can highly recommend the Lamb Saagwala. So good.

Food quality was great.. Everything cooked fresh and authentic. Will definitely come back..

It's my favourite restaurant!! Whenever we start thinking from where to order indian food..Bistro 1947 is the majority. Taste is always the best and unchanged. We love it!

Last week i visit for dinner. Food was incredible but i do have few points about other things. Restaurant management needs to look more closely towards cleanliness and staff needs to be more proficient in communication.

Nice place for dining, eggplant masala and paneer malai methi are yummy - these items are highly recommended.

We ordered aloo gobi and a few things, it was all pretty good. The rice were slightly too hard, otherwise perfect.

Food is amazing - always great quality. I'm hooked! The chef specials (and 1947 Naan) are just awesome - my favourite curry! Thanks 1947!
