Big Pete's Eats

We came here for a late night stop as all the convinence stores were closed and we wanted something sweet and delicious. We had a Waffle and it really hit the spot, scrumptious.

Atmosphere when you drive up is super casual and might deter some folks—but it was the BEST burger we’ve had on the island. Pete is super nice and drinks are great. If you are staying around Coles Bay, skip the fancy hotel and come here instead!

Pete had added a welcome and much needed option for the Swanwick area. You will always get friendly personal service from him. The locals are pretty friendly too ;-) Disclosure: Pete is a friend of mine, but this review is purely my own. See you there!

Legend. Such good food! Had the quesadillas, and the goats cheese salad and they were both perfect. Such good pricing too. So great to have a place open till late (10pm), with such quality food.

We were so lucky to find this place. The meals were delicious, the quesadilla is a must (the guacamole is so yummy), we also had the halloumi burger, chicken burger and rissoto. There is a pool table too, so while we waited for our meals we played a bit. We would definitely come back.

Not only did Big Pete save us from certain starvation as we rolled into town at 9pm on a Wednesday night, he served us up two of the most delicious burgers we have ever tasted. Struggling to find a place that was open late, luckily we came across this gem. Big Pete sure knows how to make a good burger (I'm actually craving it right now). We'd suggest for anyone visiting the Freycinet area to give it a go!

Pete was amazing and so was the food! The guy is really great at what he does and after a long day of walking the Freycinet National Park we just needed that excellent food and service to finish it off which is exactly what we got. If you're visiting Freycinet and living in coles bay you gotta give his food a try!
