Belles Hot Chicken

First time my stomach actually felt the heat

So good I wish Brisbane has a store at least!

You know what, I got exactly what I deserved here. Asked for very hot chicken, mate I was with said I shouldn't, waitress said I shouldn't. I wanted to. I didn't. I went for hot instead. Still burned. Is still burning, will burn for a while. I got cocky. I was taught a valuable lesson that day. Amazing chicken, will return to conquer.

You can’t go wrong with Belles; it’s literally the best fried chicken sandwich in town! We each got a chicken sambo and split a pitcher of the Arnaldo. Went with the ‘hot’ and also had a side of ranch sauce, and also tried out a glass of the Das Juice Red. It was all perfect.

The worst customer servicing possible. We waited for 35 mins for our order and we had to call the waitress to ask what’s happening. She then tells us the machine was not working so the order never went to the kitchen. Well she must come and said that to us when she knew it. The customers who came after us were being served. Very annoying and not even a single apology from that waitress. Even though I heard the dishes are really good I am not planning to visit again at this place. Eventually we walked out of that place and I had to skip lunch as I was running short of time for my meeting. On seeing my review, the manager (Jason) got in touch with me and was very apologetic on what happened and felt very bad. He ended up offering a complimentary meal for me and one guest to compensate on what had happened. It was very nice of Jason to get in touch. I could see he really values customer and wants to win every customer coming his way. Hats off to Jason.

Was very excited to try the chicken here after hearing so much about it but sadly we were met with disappointment. We ordered: chicken tenders at medium heat, coleslaw, and maple butter wings. Pros: Batter on the wings was beautifully golden and crunchy. Service was attentive. Cons: Seasoning on the tenders was somewhat bland and not at all appetising. The maple butter wings was a strange experience - I genuinely wondered if the chef forgot to add salt to it as it essentially tasted like wings basted in a light coat of honey (not particularly maple-y either). People who want chicken for dessert may enjoy it. I could not taste any cardamom in my cardamom lemonade, but it was fine as a standard lemonade. The coleslaw was probably the most edible out of the lot, saved only by fresh crunchy cabbage but a similarly bland dressing.

Best chicken wings I've had in Melbourne so far

Ordered the drums and i have to say the chicken is tender and tasty. The chicken ribs are fine as well. The hot sauce is another story tho, if you like hot food, you will enjoy the hot sauce. The mac and cheese for my taste is quite bland. The chicken ribs sauce is tangy and sweet. The staffs are nice

Super spicy so go easy unless you really can handle the heat. Melbourne Bitter on tap is nice.
