Friendly service and great breakfast...the shrimp and grits were delicious highly recommended

Just moved in town and trying a new place every weekend. 3 stars because everyone working seemed like they cared. Kitchen is in the open so we can see everything. Very unorganized and I think they could use the space more efficiently. Wait staff was confused on what tables they had. Very busy, which is usually a good sign however, I will only be back if I’m hungover. Had the spinach feta and Swiss cheese omelette with hash browns. Potential because the location is good, one of the only breakfast places in town. Spend some money on having a professional getting you all organized.

What a local gem - a wonderful cafe. The parking lot was crowded- we know why - the food is delicious and is served quickly by a very friendly and welcoming the staff. A definite must for anyone looking for a tasty breakfast in beautiful Beaufort.

The breakfast was outstanding! The spinach omelet was done perfectly, and the biscuits - so tender and delicious. Kudos to Holly our waitperson for her helpfulness and attention. She went way beyond what I’ve come to expect from the people who wait on us at many restaurants. Very very highly recommended!

Always look for a good local place to eat when we travel. The Beaufort Cafe did not disappoint! We love a place that treats their regulars and new people like they are family. Clean, friendly, and down to earth. The corned beef hash was crispy and so good. The grits. Oh my goodness. They were divine. Cooked to perfection, smooth and creamy with a delicious flavor. Rye toast is always good with the above. Our waitress took our order, kept our coffee mugs full, checked on us, and was not overbearing In her service. I would highly recommend this cafe and will be back every time I am in the AB/MC/Beaufort area.

I was excited to come here because of the reviews. I'm a little disturbed at the cleanliness and food service bad habits I'm seeing. In the 20 minutes we've been waiting for our food (very slow service) I've seen servers stacking plates on top of food being served multiple times. I mean, the bottom of the plate sitting in the food underneath! I've seen toast buttered with bare hands that have touched dirty dishes and bus rags. I saw our server portion grits into a bowl and lick her thumb while doing so because it dipped into the bowl. I don't care how good the food is... I would think twice about coming here if you have kind of compromised immune system. Appalling.

Mom and I are natives of the down east area and have never checked out Beaufort Cafe. Mom recently moved to Beaufort last year and I suggested we check them out after reading a few of the reviews. My mom ordered grits and a bagel and I got the spinach omelette with turkey sausage, hash browns and a biscuit. Mom is a picky eater and enjoyed it!! It reminded me of a local gig in Raleigh, where I currently live. Very good food, highly recommend. Went through the drive thru around 715am and had great service and asked if I wanted any condiments. She gave me everything I needed. Thank you Beaufort Cafe. We will be back!!!

Great Breakfast! Staff was very attentive and the food was really enjoyable. It's small, so I would recommend going toward the end of the breakfast rush to get a table.

We've eaten here twice recently while staying on Harkers Island. Both times we showed up 30 minutes to closing, and both times they accommodated us. We never felt unwelcomed or rushed. The service was great; the food was great. Don't expect fancy - is down home county cookin' and it's good!
