Beach Burrito

We showed up around 7pm on Thursday 25/2. There were about 3 groups of people inside at 3 different tables and a handful of people sitting at the tables outside. In other words, there were more than a couple customers, but the place was by no means "packed". My wife and I stood at the front and waited as directed to by the prominent "Please Wait to be Seated" sign that was displayed just inside the front door to the left against the wall. We stood there for a solid 10 minutes without any acknowledgement whatsoever by the staff. Two men working the bar had made eye contact with us multiple times, as did what appeared to be female staff standing near them by the bar with little to do (?), along with one wait staff who repeatedly walked over to a table near us to bring food to seated customers, and even walked past us to tend to some people outside. No approaching us, no verbal acknowledgement, no "hello", no "someone will be with you in a moment". No nothing. I can't emphasize enough that this place isn't large enough nor was it busy enough that we would have somehow accidentally been overlooked whilst standing at the door. The fact that several staff looked right at us multiple times over the course of several minutes without uttering a word when it was plainly obvious that we were customers waiting to be seated made it all the more bizarre and downright rude. After roughly ten minutes my wife gave up and went outside while I stayed and waited for another 8 minutes. It was plainly obvious by that point that we weren't welcome there for reasons I will never understand, so we left bewildered and appalled at the total lack of customer service on display at this restaurant and we took our business elsewhere. This is a business that advertises themselves online as having a "well respected reputation", as being "the only place to be for Mexican" , and claims "to give our customer the experience they deserve". What a joke. ~As I stated at the beginning, this was approx. 7pm on Thursday 25/2. I would welcome any manager that cares enough to read this to check CCTV footage, which will verify exactly what I've stated here.~

Food always good, though this is the second time I've been there with my daughter and her meal has been bought out to the table while mine is still getting prepared. She has eaten hers completely before mine is delivered to our table. Would always like to eat our meal together

Friendly team and great environment to have my lunch -1Star because i just feel like the beef burrito couldve been better. There was so much rice in it and less beef and sauce making it a little dry to it. Also the beans was hard..

Your typical Mexican joint really in terms of decor, etc. Staff are friendly and service relatively speedy. The food was nice, again nothing out of the ordinary. Their choice of drinks is very limited and they had ran out of a few which was a bit frustrating.

The location and the vibe did not do justice on the food. Beach burrito needs to relocate somewhere closer the high foot traffic area in the city. The not so much light coming inside. The potential of the beach burrito brand is not maximized. And i feel bad for the owner. Especially that i was the only person at 0610 inside the store.

I enjoyed the meal I purchased and although it is was very busy on the occasion of my visit I must say the service was exceptional.

My dish did not come with Mexican rice or corn chips (chimichanga) as described on the menu. Like warm upon arrival. Long wait for drinks but friendly enough staff.

Love the burrito, nachos & margarita. Couldn’t find a better Mexican food in cbr so far.

Ordered the beef burrito. The beef was well good and had a good flavour. The salad components were fresh and the rice was well cooked. There was just the right amount of salsa and sour cream.

Had the burrito meal pack via Uber to my hotel room. Food arrived in approx 40mins and was adequately warm etc. However the chicken burrito was extremely disappointing as it was about 80% rice with small pieces of chicken and black beans, very minimal salsa,sour cream or guacamole- so little they were basically unnoticeable . Corn chips with guacamole and salsa were ok, although salsa was more like spicy tomato sauce than what I would consider proper Mexican salsa verde. Not recommended - must be better Mex in Canberra
