Esplanade 0, Mooloolaba
Great Bavarian place! Born myself in Bavaria, I have been searching a lot for good Bavarian Beer and Food in Australia, and nearly everyone claiming being “Bavarian” has food that has nothing in common with Bayern. But this place offers by far the most original food and taste. Although you would never find a beach bar in Bavaria 😉 There are only limited options for real Bavarian food. That might be because of the common tourists taste requesting seafood 😕 We had the Oktoberfest plate and it was an explosion of taste, very original! Unfortunately they had no warm prezels and no sweet mustard. But they had Weißbier, original Meißels Weiße which has been my favourite beer. The very attentive waiter also knew how to pour Weißbier into an original beer glass (shake the last ml inside the bottle to get the tasty wheat from the bottom of the bottle and let it gently drop into the white foam crown at the glass). Please go there, support them, enjoy and get the original Bavarian taste! Unfortunately only open for lunch and no way to have dinner there.
Excellent service by Danish Thomas. Food was cooked with love and the coffee was so worth it. Come and enjoy life here. Some people love it so much they come here every day!
Fabulous service and lovely breakfast. Will definitely go back.
My wife and I waited over 40 minutes for our breakfast. Asked about our meal and it still hadn't been made after all tables around us had been served. We got our coffees for free.
The food was great and the service very good. As always😊
Only 2 stars because the service was not bad, but the food was shocking. Over priced and reheated frozen schnitzel for almost $30. Quite fatty piece of meat to top it off.
Having lived on the Sunshine Coast for the last 3 years, this authentic German restaurant has never disappointed - with their top quality food and German beverages- placed right in the heart of Mooloolaba- friendly owners and staff - A++ highly recommend
Breakfast to die for (savoury mince on toast) coffee yum. Service (thomas) wonderful and view of sea...lovely!!
I started with a coffee that I was impressed with, and also had a seafood chowder which I did grt again another day. We made it our local.
The Bavarian bar is next to a shopping arcade, with a popular outside pavement restaurant. There are nice views of the beach and it's great for people watching. Go for brunch! We did, twice. The menu has many good things on it, delicious looking plates went by me - wish I'd tried the avocado toast and proper overnight oats Bircher muesli but instead I had the excellent and generously portioned bacon, eggs & toast special and another time, the 'hotpot', a tasty stew of spicy sausage, capsicums, ham & tomato based sauce, which also comes with thick toast. If you look closely (in photo) on the board out front you can read their specials. Staff are lovely. They serve Erdinger beers.
