O.m.g. Next time you are in Katoomba (blue mountains). Make sure you check out Basil Nut Cafe. Their Thai cuisine will BLOW YOU AWAY. Tucked away in a hidden alley in Katoomba. Basil Nut Cafe offers exquisite meals and impeccable service. The gyoza were a knock out. The spring rolls were unique. The Pad Thai with prawns was to die for, flavoursome and generously sized. The staff were wonderful. Friendly without overstepping, and incredibly kind - the young male waiter helped an older woman out of her chair, walked her out slowly, chatted with her with patience and good humour, called her a taxi and stayed with her until it arrived. I've never seen that level of care in customer service. What a wonderful place. Very family friendly. Incredibly busy, with bookings hard to get, so be organised and call well in advance.

This was the best Thai food my family and I have ever had. It was a great experience! We got takeaway and we were in a motel that did not have any plates or cutlery so the woman who served us included it in the bag. I would 100% suggest this place when you are in Katoomba!!

Don’t tell anyone about this place or you will never get a seat. The food is just amazing both in taste and presentation. Once again we found a place slightly off the beaten track that has just nailed the perfect combination of flavour with generous serving size an awesome menu choice, great service and fair prices. We will be back for sure just to try some of the other dishes. This is a must do if you are anywhere near Katoomba. Sit down and take out. BYO wine 👍

How to have a good time in the universe in the olden days get as many insects per capita. And the coffee is very good.

Recently discovered and loving the food. Service is friendly. Just a tiny place in the arcade but you can sit outside (although maybe not wise in winter 😁). Lots of fresh vegetables in the dishes.

A good selection on the menu. Good mix of Thai and Malaysian cuisine. Nice and tasty food. Recommended!

Amazing desserts, drinks and food. I recommend the Tapioca Sago Pearls dessert.

Fantastic food! Highly recommend the eggplant duck curry and the papaya salad. Coffee is pretty decent. Staff talked amongst themselves way too loud but were friendly and overall we'll be going back!
