3/2 Trevillian Quay, Kingston
After recently moving to the city and Kingston in particular, I've wanted to try the local coffee places and I'm always one to give a number of chances to a cafe before I write it off as a dud. The first couple of times I've visited B&T, coffee has been fine, albeit slow. Which, given the slower pace compared to Sydney, this didn't bother me too much. First instance, the cafe flat out missed our coffee order. Whilst it may have been somewhat busy, I'd expect the staff to notice that a customer had been standing in the waiting area for over 20 minutes. When approached, they told us that the receipt had been moved to the 'completed' pile so the coffee was in no chance going to be made. Whilst annoyed, I let it slide. For the instances that followed, coffees continuously take longer than they should to be made. Regardless whether there is 5 customers or 50. Lastly, we ordered coffees in the New Year and our order was wrong for both coffees. Having being charged $13.60 for TWO coffees, Iβd have expected the order to at least been correct. While I appreciate the friendly customer service on all occasions, itβs disappointing that for a place with such a high rating, they lack attention in such an important area. Iβm yet to find a coffee spot in the ACT to call my go to, but this will definitely not be it.
Excellent customer service and delicious food..
Limited menu still produced some delicious breakfast, hungrily devoured by me and my cycling buddies. Outdoor seating was a bit tricky, depending on the sun and your desire to be in/out of it. No table service, this is an order-at-the-counter setup. Prices were typical foreshore cafe - fairly expensive but portions were generous.
Thanks for a brilliant brunch. Eggs cooked to perfection, the roasted heirloom tomatoes are the best Iβve ever eaten. Smashed avo divine and the spinach wilted to perfection. If I lived locally I would eat here regularly. Keep up the great work. Happy New Year.
Nice quiet atmosphere with a lovely view of the lake and surrounding apartment architecture. Highly recommend the hotcakes!
This was a great little Cafe, nice outdoor area to sit, view of the foreshore. Thanks to the staff for accommodating our work breakfast. Friendly staff and good service, food excellent and great coffee. Worth a visit.
Service with a smile, food was excellent, coffee was spot on, price was reasonable considering what we ordered and served in a timely manner!
Awesome spot to enjoy brekkie with a lovely view. The coffee and food (we had the big breakfast) were great! Would love to visit them again when we are back in Canberra.
Located on the Kingston waterfront this cafe was one of only three open for breakfast on Monday morning. Food and drink quality was excellent but service a bit off but all staff friendly. You order at the counter and despite ordering mushrooms on sour dough I received smashed avocado with poached eggs. Despite this, the food quality and position size were excellent.
A real gem on the water edge. A comfortable and relaxing venue with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Outside seating is perfect for seasonal lunch complemented by a perfect menu catering for Vegan and Gluten free. A perfect selection and options to meet everyone's palate. We surprised them with 8 for breakfast - Ambient music was subtle, warm inside with inspiring aromas. Amazing Coffee and our numbers, no difficulty for a flavorsome breakfast. This exceeded our expectations and is well worth the experience.
