Au79

Loved our time at Au79 recently! Tucked away from busy Victoria St in Richmond, it’s easy to get to by tram. Street parks are a little tricky to find depending on the time of day but I had a free 1 hour park at the local shopping centre next door. We were greeted promptly by friendly staff and shown to our table with our coffee orders taken. The ambience was great! It was buzzing, visually pleasing with plants and product merchandised well. Dishes came out in good time and was delicious! Coffees were on point too! Great job guys! We will definitely visit again!

Good place to have brunch as it does get busy later in the morning. Good and reasonably priced. Very close to the tram. Have been therrt3 times. Menu has option for vegetarian, gluten-free as well. Good service.

Wonderful cafe with a hip indoor/outdoor theme in a converted warehouse. Very comfortable booths, delicious coffee and our salads were to die for. Can highly recommend the confit duck salad and calamari salad. Lots of vegetarian, GF and DF options.

Really love this place, lovely refreshing decor, Coffee was just Devine,NB They do roast their own coffee, and make their own bread and pastries which I haven't tried but will definitely go back to sample their food and bread, staff were also lovely. Well here's an update from today went back to sample their food look I wasn't disappointed but I must say it wasn't special and the serves were quite small considering the price . But it still is a very nice experience the Staff are lovely, Coffee still is exceptional,nice healthy drinks too

Au79 is an amazing huge airy warehouse with plants everywhere with beautiful decor to match. Coffee is great as is the food and service had the kale & corn fritters 8/10 & the crispy skin salmon on smashed peas 9/10 pastries are tasty AF as so does the cabinet full of goodies, the only problem is the parking around this area but worth the visit as I’ve done many times.

A beautiful space, with a well thought out and interesting menu! The coffee was super well made. (even though not my preferred blend still delish!) Everyone working there was super lovely💙 It was clear they took great pride in everything they served.

This has to be one of the most design forward cafes in Melbourne - it's an architectural delight with high ceilings, modern Tudor-esque beams, expansive spaces to sit in, an urban jungle, warehouse and roastery all in one. The coffee is exceptional. I consulted the chief roaster on which filter coffee to purchase - his knowledge was impressive, and his advice was generous, catered to my needs. In addition, he even scribbled down his personal brewing recipe down for me- very sweet! Menu is progressive (even by Melbourne's standards) and I had deliciously light 63 degree eggs with grilled asparagus, roasted broccolini, gramolata, parmesan cream, pomegranate, rocket salad and kale chips. Next time, i would love to try the Prawn Benedict. A cafe that is a clear cut above the rest!

Airy and natural light filled atmospheric venue with high ceilings, lovely decorated with many, many plants all around. Walking into this cafe you wouldn’t think it has an incredibly large seating area at the back. Lots of comfy, secluded seating options with booths as well. The menu is quite peculiar. I ordered a salmon dish however did not realise it was creamed/blended salmon. The dish itself was interesting, there was too much creaminess going on though. I would have liked some crunch in there, perhaps some walnuts. The oat milk hot chocolate was amazing!

Never thought I would have prawns with eggs but here I am, and it's bloody delicious! The duck was also very nice! The cafe had a great vibe and was visually well set up (nice for some photos). plenty of seating too as we walked in off the street.

Great local Cafe with a super all day breakfast menu. Cakes are also great. Easy parking under the building.
