26 Leverrier St, Bruce
A fantastic athlete specific facility offering tours for the general public and school groups. With well maintained stadiums/courts and an amazing gym layout it's a definite tour while visiting the ACT. Has plenty of parking available and there is also a gift shop for picking up some mementos.
Very helpful and polite young woman assisted me today . She was informative, knowledgeable and just the right amount chatty.
The AIS tour is definitely worthwhile. Ruby White (an AIS Athlete) headed our tour. She was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a great insight into the lives of those living and training on site. The tour also incorporates Sportex, an interactive area where you are able to complete sporting challenges and learn interesting sporting facts - set around a great collection of Australian sporting memorabilia. You could spend ages in there. The facility is located reasonably close to Canberra City Centre - only about a 10 minute car drive. There is a cafe on site as well as a well presented gift shop. Great for all ages!!
Nice place to learn about Australuan sport and how sportpersons train themselves. Nothing much for hands-on.
Went and seen Rob Thomas in concert , it was great, a bit of a wait in line for alcohol but not to bad, good night out..
Tour was very interesting, the guide Claire really knew her stuff.
The Cafe is OK. They should offer ceramic cups instead of using take away cups as the default.
Enjoyable and informative tour. Kids had a great time.
Good tour, wish we had of seen some athletes
Beautiful place to spend evening time in the summer. Clean water and beautiful ducks. Good for dog exercise. It also near athletic field to practice.
