Had a really nice mystery soup, was quite filling and great concept, great ethics for supporting refugees.

I thought the Southern Fried Chicken burger was a bit meh, though not bad. I am told that the mushroom burger is really really great, though, by a vegetarian who hates mushrooms, so that ain't nothin'. Also they have a slot car set! Best.

A bit pricey but the best pizzas around! The fact that it is always crowded indicates its popularity. Be sure to book ahead.

My favourite cafe in the north, possibly the whole city. People are lovely and the food is homely. This place displays Italian heritage, but you don't feel like you have to speak Italian to get served. They have a great bar at the front window where you can read your paper or natter with the baristas, or tables around so you can enjoy some of the fresh make food. The coffee here is the kicker though - it's worth going out of your way to come here and get some.

This is a great cafe serving good coffee, great galettes and crepes from a real (and super friendly) french staff. Get there when you can and enjoy.

Been twice since the shop opened a month ago, great food, regular hotdogs are great and the more advanced ones are proper meals, definitely worth a visit

Long before Tinder or the Internet the local milkbar was the hub for romance to blossom. This café which as the name suggests used to be a local milkbar and is the perfect venue to capture some of that innocence and simplicity often lost in the modern approach to falling in love. Located just far enough from High Street to feel like you’ve stumbled on a local secret, this Dundas street café certainly is intriguing. The old milkbar delivers something truly classy in very relaxed packaging, which is probably what most people on a date are trying to project to their partner anyway. A really interesting and creative menu is offered, however our reviewers both could not pass the first item on the menu, bacon and egg sliders with spicy relish. Fresh ingredients, cooked to perfect fluffy egg/crispy bacon goodness, made for an unpretentious treat. The coffee was of a similar memorable quality. Here they use Dark Horse blend, from Five Senses coffee. As far as we know this name has nothing to do with the Katy Perry song, but in fact blends coffees from 3 different countries to deliver a stunning finished product. So leave all your newfangled gadgets at home and we’ll just meet you at the milkbar.

Great Pizza, good coffee and gorgeous service. Will be back to enjoy more of it.
Arrived at 9:50pm on a Thursday night, no food!!!!! Food trucks closed, got told by security the bar closes at 11pm, fair enough.. Then a bar girl outside tells me and my two other friends the bar closes at 10pm? So we rush to get a drink, then we see the bar still serving after 10pm, go outside so my friends can smoke under the wonderful heaters that are all going, and get shoved back inside by security. Well it's open been open a week so we will have to see if it really represents Thornbury or is just another large abomination? Back to the Thornbury Local for me.
