I went to the 8 bit burger joint last night man. Burgers are top notch, not the best I've had but better than Grilled and those types. What I couldn't believe was the queue! The place was chockas and the queue to order was maybe 20 people deep out the front door (this was about 6:45). One of the girls working there was telling us they've only been open for a few weeks but because of the positive press and blogs, they're rammed from about 6pm every night. They even had a high profile Masterchef visit last week. I think they've really struck a chord with the mid 20's to early 30's crowd (about 95% of the people in there) given the nostalgic video game decor in there. Like the room itself is a fairly standard diner setup with seats at the counter and a few tables, nothing too crazy. But there is free Streetfighter style arcade machine to play while you wait. Worth a visit but I'd say wait a month for the cool kids to move along. On the plus side, the gentrification of Footscray looks like it's starting!

Wait times for ordering food on a weekday night (thursday) more than 20 minutes. Very less FOH staff for clearing tables and attending to customers. However personnel are friendly. Food costs less and tasty. Ambience definitely needs an uplift. Prices bound to shoot up so good to make the best of it when its cheap !!!

Wow! Steak heaven! Friends in the know took us here, and they were not wrong, go here for lunch and you will not eat again all day. Location right next to the train station, and food that was out of this world, topped off by decent service makes this a haunt I'll be back to many times!

Soup is what these guys do & they do it really well. The rare beef noodle soup (pho tai) is rich in flavour & filling. They do have a few other dishes apart from a variety of soups that are quite good, but essentially Hung Voung is the best Vietnamese soup in town.

Pros-Beer on tap is fantastic with great music and atmosphere. Great place to talk see the city and relax and drink beers a++ location Cons- poor service asked if my chips were still coming and waiter went back to talk to her friend. Food size is ridiculously small and not as great as compared to third wave cafe- port melbourne, Smokey American bbq- port melbourne, Ikes bbq shack Collingwood, meat mother-Richmond . Food was ok not that great and sauces were bottled not house made. Expensive for what your portion size is. Overall I give 3 out 5 as there is room for improvement.

Visited on the recommendation of some friends of mine, very glad I finally managed to find it! Got one each of the plain and chocolate croissants and both were delightfully flaky and delicious. The staff were lovely and very welcoming, all around great visit.

Nice new spot. Some 12 beers/ciders on tap, mostly IPA.
Friends introduced us to this place and have to say loved it. Food was great, hot, and very nice. Service was prompt and also spot on. Nice 'fake' garden area out the back of the restaurant too so you can chill after your meal. Prices seemed okay but we did have a voucher so it may be a little expensive.
