Having played 13 of the top one hundred public access golf courses in Australia I am very surprised that this course does not rate higher than its rating of 63rd. This course is in excellent condition, has beautiful greens and immaculately kept in all other areas. I have also had the pleasure of playing Cape Kidnappers in NZ and this course in my humble opinion is on a par. If you have the chance, get in at least a nine hole game, You will not be disappointed. Well done Ballarat Golf Club, well done.

Just had dinner no booking only had a 15 minute wait for a table for two. Food was very good I can recommend the chicken, prices mid range. Can be noisy in the area left of the entry. There are some 4 or more interconnecting room dining areas so the kitchen staff must be run off their feet. Highly recommended we will go back again when in Ballarat.

A very yummy dinner. Yes, it was a bit on the expensive side, but it was well worth it when it came to the North Indian food, though I think they could have prepared the South Indian food a little bit better. The restaurant is quite large and even has a function room you can hire. Also for disabled access there's even a lift to take you up the four or five steps, the kitchen also looks quite large from the dining area, which makes it a great place for people with disabilities. Overall, I suggest you look here if you have some cash, but if you're low on money, then have a look around. Though you shouldn't think about it too much, as it will be money well spent shall you go.

Couldn't fault it in anyway. Best place in town. You can not go wrong here. I have been back many many times and tried everything on the menu. Anyone I've brought have also loved it. They are fantastic and would give them more stars if I could. Make sure you book in advance.

What a great old pub. Just a 15 minute walk from the center of town. Great service great atmosphere. I had half a dozen oysters and liver and onions for a main. Outstanding.
It was the most amazing food, very authentic, we were even showed how to eat it !!! Will be a regular from now on
