This is the BEST place in South Australia. Every visit has been a triumph. They vary the menu. They explain what they are serving. The staff are proud of the place and the staff are enthusiastic about what they are serving. It is not stuffy and does not take itself so seriously that the place becomes boring. Instead it celebrates all that is good in South Australia. The Lobster ravioli with blue swimmer crabs etc is the ZENITH of creativity and a MAGNIFICENT menu item to order. This restaurant is beyond SUPERLATIVES. Just visit the place and discover why it is the BEST

Beautiful location, awesome restaurant and amazing wine. The cellar door release known as "The Veteran" Fortified Port was my absolute favorite. I loved it so much I bought a bottle and brought it to the other side of the world.

Amazing view, great food and excellent service. The pizzas are delicious and you can have gluten free base too! Their Pinot Grigio is highly recommended

We've been here twice now and it blew us away both times. Fantastic food, great staff (and winemaker), and some of the greatest (and best value) wines in Australia. Suddenly McLaren Vale is our preferred wine destination. You will not be disappointed.

A trip to McLaren Vale is not complete without visiting the cellar door at Maxwells. Beautiful setting with amazing modern building. The staff were friendly and took time to explain the great range of wines. We didn't even know there was a restaurant, but had a look at the menu which was impressive- sold on the paella which didn't dissapoint. It will defenitely be the reason for coming back again. Thanks for a fabulous time!

Excellent food the lamb is to die for The reserve wine (Pilots view) The live Quiet music The fire place on a cold wet winter day And the fact that the place was full you can clearly hear the singer and enjoy a quiet conversation with your partner this is a big plus in my books. Wodstock gets a 10 plus

Absolutely beautiful winery. I can't remember the name of the wine that I loved so much, but it is a yellowish color and AMAZING. I can't wait to go back!
