After walking around Wollongong looking for a place to eat I spotted Ha Long Bay on the corner of Crown Street and Corrimal Street. Enticed inside by the $9.50 lunch specials and intrigued by the Yellow Curry dish we were seated by the window and enjoyed a cup of green tea ($2 per person) and waited for our meal. Very soon my Yellow Curry with seafood arrived and was absolutely delicious. A creamy, mild curry with coconut milk, coconut cream, garlic, cumin, turmeric and other ingredients with seafood and vegetables. Soon after it my husband's Combination Stir-fry arrived and it was equally tasty and value for money. It was the first time we had dined at Ha Long Bay Vietnamese Restaurant but it certainly won't be the last!

Their website is easier to use than the major chains (which is the only thing going for them). Prices are very reasonable for what you get, which is a traditional Italian Pizza with fresh ingredients. Just be aware that the seating area isn't all that comfortable, it extends out onto the driveway and has little to no protection from the elements. This is a takeaway shop though - and it rocks!

Novel idea of mixing ingredients to make your own ice cream... but boy howdy, do they know how to charge! Small portions for four people topped $30. Busy but line moved reasonably quickly. Interior tired, too... but the kids loved it.

There is nothing to fault with this restaurant. You can always get a tasty pizza or pasta dish and the service is always fine. There's nothing super exciting about the menu, but it's a great restaurant for a casual dinner out when you don't feel like cooking.
Food, drinks, and service was incredible. Massive selection of James Squire drinks of which they have guides to aswell as recommendations for food pairings. On the outside the food menu looks like an average pub menu but the food was cooked and presented to the absolute highest quality. The Angus Cheeseburger that I had was definitely the best cheeseburger that I have ever had. Unlike most burgers you were able to taste every ingredient used and the food tasted fresh. Chips were also delicious as were the crispy chicken wings which I have recommended to my friends and they have agreed with me. Service and venue was awesome. The ladies behind the bar and serving us were super nice and professional and not afraid to have a chat. Venue wqs very polished and had an awesome atmosphere . In short I will be coming back here as I have found my new favourite restaurant/pub in wollongong. Highly recommend
