The sandwiches were fresh and tasty. Nothing seemed overly Sicilian. The service seemed dismissive and lacked warmth though the barista was cheerful enough. Unfortunately with such stiff competition in the Valley, we probably wouldn't go back.

Excellent location for a quick bite. Menu has variety. Although salad was not on the menu I asked for one and they were kind enough to prepare a super nice garden salad with all the ingredients you could have asked. I really appreciated that gesture. The tables next to the window are very comfortable, even with the sun on them, the breeze keeps the area at a very comfortable temperature.

Wonder romantic getaway in the Hunter. My girlfriend and I had an incredible time staying at The Carriages. The Veranda Suite was everything we could have hoped for in a stay. The veranda was a perfect place to relax with a few glasses (bottles...) of their delicious wine (2014 Shiraz!!) with a lovely cheese platter, overlooking the natural surroundings as the sun set. It does get cold at night, but we moved into the beautifully decorated and furnished room, opened another bottle of wine and continued our evening next to the open wood fire (THE BEST). In the morning we were delivered a basket of breakfast goodies to our door, super yum and perfect way to start any day!! There are a few wineries and restaurants nearby which we visited, and the owners also gave us great recommendations and advice for tours around the area. Would definitely recommend treating yourself to a stay here, we'll definitely be returning in the very near future!! : )

Very relaxing and quiet stay. We stayed in the corner room which was both private and quiet. Lovely staff. Very helpful and friendly. Next time will try for a room upstairs for a better view. Our courtyard wasn’t clean and had a few cobwebs so couldn’t use that. Must mention the restaurant, amazing, amazing breakfast and service. Lovely views and also spotted a few kangaroos around !

Our server was lovely and efficient. We got the lamb and eye fillet, both were delicious Topped off with white chocolate parfait and creme brule.

Extremely peaceful surroundings. The Mill Restaurant and Brokenback Bar are great for dining or having a drink. The food is worth the price you pay. Staff were pleasant and hospitable. Receptionist Jane deserves an 11 out of 10 for her quality customer service. Thank you

Really great experience. 5 star location and amenities. Customer service is first class too. Defiantly recommended and will be our go-to place to stay at the Hunter Valley
