Yaya’s Hellenic Kitchen and Bar

Food and service was absolutely appalling. The manager, scooted around and spoke with his waiting staff and incredibly rude manner. He said more than once, 'did I ask you to serve?' 'Why would you do that and now I'll have to spend time fixing all of your mistakes'. His staff seemed stressed and clearly afraid to speak with him. He's on a massive power trip whilst his food is well below par. His lamb, capsicum and wraps were all disappointing. Please skip the restraunt and go to the Italian place next door you won't be disappointed and most importantly you won't be supporting a righteous manager on a power trip!!!!

I got the banquet here and I must say, I was not disappointed. I didn't get photos of every course as there were some that were just so delicious looking and smelling that we only remembered to take a photo after we were done. The service here was fantastic. Our waiter was very attentive if we needed anything, and offered useful advice when asked on cocktails and food suggestions. The view over the Esplanade walk at sunset while drinking and eating deliciousness will not soon be forgotten.

We came here on the first night of our honeymoon and ended up coming back every night that we were in cairns. The owner made us feel welcome. The food was amazing! This place is a must for anyone that appreciates good food. Best part is, the prices are very reasonable. Thanks Dean!

Loved eating here both times! The manager or owner was so lovely and welcoming. I love that about businesses who really take care of their customers. The food was absolutely delicious. The only criticism i have was orders can get mixed up quite a bit. The staff took our order wrong but manager was happy to not charge for that meal. Was happy with that. One of the female staff did not know much about the cocktails. I asked for a mocktail but she said they didn't do any. However, when one of my friends got the same and was able to get it. It was just the cocktail with no alcohol in it. The servants kept coming around to all the tables not knowing what table ordered what on both occasions. I think table numbers would help. Either than that, we really enjoyed our night. It was a beautiful place to dine, great atmosphere, especially outside. Lovely customer service.

Despite being ridiculously busy, the manager still managed to squeeze us in when I accidentally booked for the wrong day, which was very much appreciated. The food was excellent, as was the wine. Our waitress was obviously very new, but the management was patient with showing her the ropes and she still did a great job. I can't wait to go back!

The food here is SO good! I can not rate it highly enough. The service was impeccable and our main waiter Costa was brilliant (and the others were amazing too!!) Do yourself a favour and don't miss out!

Our mains were quite tasteless. Nothing like the delicious, fresh Greek we are used to. Oh, and to top it off, we each found a hair in our mains. 2 from 2! Quite impressive really.

Absolutely delicious. We saw a review that said someone came back here several times and I can see why! Very attentive staff and excellent menu.
