This place is the Best if you want spicy noodles. Add all you want from their display. However, you need to be careful, cos its easy to put too much in the bowl!

Asked if it's spicy due to being for kids they said no not too spicy. It was so spicy and oily and disgusting just a thick layer of oil Edit: scraped off top layer of oil it was over 1/4 cup I know "mala" is spicy but the amount of chilli oil on top of my soup was horrible

Food quality is ok but staff manner needs to be improved. One female staff who usually doesn’t wear a uniform is especially rude to customers.

Was honestly pretty meh, the soup had no base flavour it just tasted like spice and water. The ingredients were fresh, but they didn’t have hand made noodles which is my preference. I like the one downstairs better.

Good choices, although not always fresh as there are scallops to choose but not on ice, not sure how long those scallops are out in the open. Flavour is really good, can be quite inconvenient with paying options, as you need to be above 10 dollars with of food when paying and need to be above 20 dollars in order to use eftpos. An overpriced place to have meal as they charge 1 dollar for a disposable bowl. Recommend to have once in a while.

Finally had my first bowl of malatang thanks to a promotion that was on at 8 Street - one of the specials on offer was this deal from the new Yang Guo Fu Malatang store: $12 for 500g seafood combo + a can of drink. I felt it was a pretty decent list of ingredients: prawn, mussel, crab meat ball, fish ball, cheese & fish tofu, quail egg, wombok, Chinese mushroom, enoki mushroom, bok choy, bean vermicelli. After the ingredients are picked (by the staff) and cooked in the broth, you get the option of adding 2 sauces (can't remember exactly what they are) and finally the chilli. I went in for the sauces, and asked for about half the normal portion of chilli, as one of the reasons I've not rushed to have malatang is because I'm not a fan of the 'mala' itself - I do enjoy a bit of chilli kick but not this type that knocks you numb. My bowl had a bit of numbing sensation but nothing too drastic. Still not a big fan, but I'll leave the door open to try more when the mood strikes. My understanding is that this YGF is not related to the previous YGF store that occupied the same space the few years prior, and which closed down earlier this year. Time will tell whether this new one reaches similar levels of popularity amongst the Malatang loving population.

This restaurant over charge you. Check the ingredients u ordered and you will see most of ingredients are missing or smaller amount than you chosen. I refund my money back. I wasnt happy that they tried to give me more ingredients but i wasnt trust them.

Couldn’t recommend this soup enough! Every mouthful is flavoursome. I will definitely be back here to indulge more
