Ya Jinda Thai restaurant

I’ve been wanting to visit Ya Jinda for ages and finally managed to do so this week. ☀️The sunny bits: The interior was amazing. It was bright, clean and decorated with various items from yesteryear. Staff were warm and welcoming. We had their lunch specials. The Boat noodles came with a generous amount of beef in a complex hearty broth. The garlic rice with grilled chicken was very tasty. The highlight of the meal was the papaya salad. It was fresh, crunchy and bursting with flavour. ☁️The cloudy bits: This was an almost perfect experience. My one tiny gripe was that the papaya salad arrived after we had finished our meals. ⭐️The forecast: With travelling still a bit of a risky affair, Ya Jinda with its authentic Thai food is a great place to pretend that you are in Bangkok!

Atmosphere 5/5 *Very modern fit out compared to their other store in Richmond. More on the upmarket classier side, again, can bring dates, family friends or events! End of Service 5/5 *Despite finishing our meals and overstaying our time, we were still treated with respect and asked politely to leave. Excellent service. Definitely book in advance people! A good restaurant to get a taste of Thailand in Doncaster. Service well done. Friendly and amiable service personal. Decor lovely and clean through. The dishes we had were well presented and tasty, the pork was very tender. The peanuts were rather stale, in the sauce. And the sticky rice was not to our taste, but arrived at the table in a delightful mini bamboo steamer. It is byo but has a good selection of wines beers, cocktails and soft drinks. Thanks for the enjoyable evening.

This is a beautiful Thai restaurant set on the heart of Doncaster. Fantastic atmosphere and decoration. We ordered the standard curry, stir fry and of course some grilled meats. Really nice flavour in general but I did find that the stir fry was a bit too sweet Though the place is large, it does fill up quite quickly so definitely get there early or book ahead!

Great ambience and tasty authentic Thai cuisine. Love their tamarind fried fish. One star ⭐️ taken off for the milk tea ( both pink and regular) that tasted too sweet and milky for our liking . Not much of Thai tea taste . Service was fantastic and prompt.

Amazing place to get authentic Thai food for a decent price. Great open space that has been newly renovated and is nice and clean. Would recommend the boat noodle. Probably the closest you can get aside from flying

This is our local Thai food fix. We used to go to the one in Richmond but when a branch opened up right next to us we were so happy. Papaya Salad, Tom Kha Soup, Green Curry are a definite must. Tried their stick rice with Mango today and that was good too. The missing one star is because certain days and certain chefs don't make it as nice. We know the days to come and the days to stay away now.

Authentic Thai flavours and spice levels. We went here for Mother's day dinner. We were a big group of 13 people and they accommodated us well. Food was delicious, service was spot on and the venue was large enough that it did not feel cramped like a lot of Asian restaurants. Highly recommend their entre of spring rolls, son in law eggs, seared salmon and oysters. We will definitely be going back. Room for improvement...kids really wanted to try their crepe cake but they only had one piece of the pandan flavour. We notice them serving another pandan crepe cake to a table that came after us so was a little disappointed we only got one and they didn'thave enough on Mother's day. Also where we were seated, there was a cold draft and they didn't know why. They said they had the heater on but it was really cold where we were seated. Hope they can improve that.

This is our second time visiting Ya Jinda Thai Restaurant after dining at the main Jinda in Abbotsford for many years. We haven't had any issues getting a table here, it's not too busy which is a nice contrast to the city store. There was plenty of room between tables and space to sit our pram. We ordered Boat Noodles and Crispy Pork Chili Basil along with some Thai drinks. The food came out at a reasonable pace, flavourful with good portion sizes. They also offer accoutrements with the noodles to modify to your taste profile. Our food was delicious. The staff are pleasant and are attentive picking up finished dishes and replenishing water. A lovely place for Thai food, strongly recommend a visit for great Thai food that hasn't been overly westernised.

This is my first time here at Ya Jinda but I've been to Jinda Thai in Richmond many times. Food here is good too and service was average. Nice decoration and tasty authentic Thai food. We had boat noodles and garlic&black pepper soft shell crab. They were delicious. Thank you.
