My wife and I were staying in the chalets across the road and decided to pop in to try some schnapps. The location is beautiful with well maintained grounds boasting numerous sculptures. Beyond this good first impression however, we found the experience a little underwhelming. We did not have a booking so understood before going that we may not be able to get a seat, and upon arrival we were told that they could fit us in but we would have a short wait which was fine. As we were being told this a larger group of around 12 finished up and we were then told we could be seated as soon as they cleared the tables. However, in the the time it took to clear the tables 4 groups of around 3-5 people came in behind us. We then stood there watching as these groups were all seated right in front of us. We were then left standing next to an empty table and asked if we could be seated here, only to be told that a table outside will be ready in a few minutes. My assumption was that the table outside was to seat two and they were keeping the four seat table for a larger group. We waited another 10 minutes or so and were then lead to a four seat table outside. Being made to wait next to a vacant table watching people who came in behind us be seated only then to be put outside in the cold didn’t exactly make us feel welcome. Once seated we tried a couple of flights of schnapps. Most of them we found to be a bit average with the exception of the devil’s tongue, which was outstanding and I would highly recommend to any chilli lovers.

A great welcoming cafe. Food very tasty, well thought out menu and very generous (8/10 gor good easily). Worth a visit, have some lunch, a drink or two and don’t miss a walk around the outside sculpture gallery.

The distillery has nice scenic views, but the food was average. The goulash was pretty dry and the veal schnitzel was okay. The butterscotch snap was tasty.

I have to admit, I wasn't super impressed with the food but the drinks definitely make it worth stopping here! I got a veal schnitzel, which was commendably sizable.... BUT the crumbs were unevenly cooked - beautifully crispy on the outside, uncooked in the centre. Unfortunate, because otherwise it was quite good. The drinks were something else though. A shot of butterscotch schnapps on the house definitely made me happy. And it's one of the tastier ones I've had. I also had the devil mary. Not super spicy but just a hint of zing to make me want to come back for more. Overall an enjoyable experience. It also helps that the grounds are beautiful and the service was fantastic! I spent some time wandering there and found chickens!!

Went there on the weekend with my husband and it was great little find. Lovely surrounds, a very busy place to say the least, so we decided to try the great schnapps tasting deal. We only had to wait a little bit to be seated inside and have a our schnapps and they were great! We didn't get the guy's name but he was very helpful and friendly. We will go back again, only this time it's to try their food.

Driving up to the distillery first thing i noticed was the beautiful maintained grounds. The lunch menu was pretty good , but the drinks were even better. The classic gin was AMAZING. Had the nicest afternoon. Thanks

Awesome value schnapps tastings. Great cellar door. And great coffee too in the cafe. Definitely a must stop when in Jindabyne. Thank you for supporting our national Fly Fishing Gathering.

Very friendly service, food excellent and schnapps certainly warmed us up on a cold day. Best you book ahead if you plan on eating there as it gets very busy.

I was looking forward to trying the schnapps but unfortunately wasn't able to because the place was booked out at the time and we were only able to get takeaway. I ordered the linzer torte which, according to the menu, was supposed to come with ice cream/cream, but we only got a slice of the cake (but paid full price) in a plastic container with no cutlery to eat it with. Also ordered the hot chocolate with schnapps which came out lukewarm. Rather disappointing experience. We felt a bit like second-rate customers. Suggest improving customer service by adding more tables or even a bench on the lawn for people to sit and eat.
