Absolutely amazing food (my best meal of 2021 for sure) and a great atmosphere as well with live traditional music. My husband is Peruvian and I lived in Peru for a year and this is definitely the best Peruvian food we’ve had in Sydney. A great way to celebrate our anniversary!

Great food & awesome atmosphere <3 WARIKE offers you the true flavors of PERU! no foreigner fusion mix. The chef delight us with a well balance menu that combines different authentic dishes from my beloved PERU. The atmosphere and great customer service completes the journey and helps you to transport yourself to a truthful Peruvian experience.

I visited Warike for the second time with my husband. It’s really delicious. I am Peruvian and I should say that it’s really difficult to find real Peruvian flavors around the world if you are not in Peru. Warike is a fantastic place and the service is also great!! We will come back soon for sure! Everything well done!

What an experience! My first ever traditional Peruvian feast and i loved every minute of it. Awesome food combined with live music from a Peruvian band is exactly how i like to spend my Sundays. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour. The set course we had is $75pp and this is what it includes: 1. Leche de Tigre Shot Lime Juice, Peruvian Rocoto Chilli, Cancha Corn, Onion 2. Tiradito Warike Salmon Sashimi, Kingfish Sashimi, Aji Amarillo, Lime Juice, Choclo 3. Causa de Pulpo al Olivo Aji Amarillo Potato, Octopus Slices, Avocado, Olive Sauce 4. Ceviche Clasico Kingfish Hiramasa, Leche de Tigre, Chullpi, Peruvian Corn 5. Anticucho de Carne Wagyu Beef Eye Fillet Skewers MB5+, Aji Panca Marinade, Royal Blue Potatoes, Green Salad 6. Picarones Peruvian Doughnuts, Chancaca Syrup I've been raving on about this place to friends and family and i cannot wait to go back and try their new menu when it comes out. Thank You again for the amazing experience.

Food and ambience were excellent. Considering that it isn't that easy to prepare Peruvian food overseas (due to -sometimes- ingredients not available, differences, etc), the guys at Warike really make you feel at home with their Peruvian flavours. Keep on the good work Luis & team. We'll return soon!

It’s always a pleasure to come back to this Peruvian pop up restaurant! My husband and I are Gluten Intolerant, they always make the effort to deliver most of the food GF! Which means a lots for us. I recommend to book in advance and let them know about your dietary requirements, they will be more than happy to help. They also have a show on with traditional Peruvian music and you get the whole experience... It’s like being back home !!!

Miss travelling? Inject a little Peruvian hospitality into your Sydney weekend with Warike Sydney. It’s a Peruvian restaurant takeover that runs each Sunday at Nikkei Bar & Restaurant in Surry Hills. Your $65/person spend gives you a five-course tasting menu that kicks off with choros a la Chalaca. It’s three steamed mussels topped with a bright salsa made from chillies, tomato, onion, lemon and parsley. Duo Jimenez keep you entertained with Peruvian classics played on ancient instruments, like the pinkullo (similar to a flute) and the antaras, which are wooden panpipes. The charango, or tiny ukulele, came into being because the Spanish conquistadors wouldn’t let the locals play the guitar. We muse over the impacts of colonisation as we eat ceviche classico made on Hiramasa kingfish. It’s a compelling—if somewhat salty—bowl of raw fish “cooked” in leche de tigre (tiger’s milk) sweetened by orange hunks of sweet potato and given texture by cancha (toasted corn nuts). Jalea mixta—a plate of deep fried fish and calamari—accompanies it, and the two dishes are traditionally eaten together. Lomo saltado sees wok-flamed rump steak teamed with lightly cooked tomato and onion next to a Jenga tower of chips. We end the meal with helado de lucuma, a generous verrine of ice cream made from lucuma. This yellow-fleshed South American stone fruit tastes like butterscotch against chocolate crumbs and strawberries. We leave with full hearts and stomachs, buoyed by hearing Spanish spoken at the adjoining tables and enthusiastically sung by the talented trio. Drinks are paid for separately from the Nikkei bar. The 2020 Stargazer ‘Tupolo’ ($83) blend of pinot gris, Riesling & Gewurtztraminer went the distance with the cuisine, but most guests were ordering Peru’s national drink, the Pisco Sour, which would have been more thematic. Next time!
