We visited the cafe on Sunday 28 March 2021 for a late morning breakfast at 11:40h. I decided to create my own breakfast, and I thought by choosing eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, baked beans and toast, I would get a decent breakfast. However, when it arrived, it looked like a kid's plate. For $2.50 I got ONE (!) slice of tomato. For $2.60 I got THREE (!) small fried mushrooms. The toast ($1.60 per slice) was partially burned. The baked beans were missing, and after reminding them, I received about TWO tablespoons of baked beans. I definitely cannot say that they offered a generously sized meal for me.
My wife ordered the breakfast omelette ($12), but when checking the receipt later, we realised that we have been charged the $16 lunch omelette. We did not even know that there were different omelettes available. The omelette was much too oily when compared with omelettes we have had at other places.
On the positive side, sitting on the platform was quiet and pleasant. The cafe inside was beautifully furnished in an antique and rustic way, and mixed with decoration and gift shop items for sale.
