109 Smith St # 5 800, Darwin
We weren't overly happy this time for our few drinks after work..4 times the prices were different on the same drinks purchased?? The bartender was new and didn't really know what he was doing & forgot what he made when paying, I had to reiterate the order.. Also he didn't serve the tab or Keno promptly and we missed games..
I was visiting Darwin and I had a great experience when I had dinner there. The customer service is amazing, and the food is delicious!! I recommend them for sure!
I really like Uncle Sam's great fresh food large variety very reasonably priced and lovely staff The co-owner also takes time to talk to her customers. I will definitely be back. Thank you Fatima
Took 3 countrymen in for feed.. This family of OLD Darwin are smooth open minded cool hard working...prove me wrong they don't have security? Century old Australian Chinese recipe...my guess 9 generation Australian....prove me wrong. Ask them in Chinese maybe old granddad and grandma can remember pidgin ...can identify the best Tamarind tree Tomato vine over 90yrs old. Offspring everywhere English language only.
Best place to grab a feed 24/7, 7 days a week. Yellow Chicken Curry to die for. Tell 'em Eddie sent ya! 🤩
Clean efficient and smily service. Centrally located to Darwin, large Carpark. Close to park to enjoy take away. Dishes are substantial, affordable and delicious.... for budget oriented diners.
Uncle Sam's has been the finishing point of many an adventure on the town and as such, holds a special place in my heart. Entering the double doors at 4am after lockout at the clubs is akin to entering the gates of Valhalla, with drunken men and women everywhere either talking about the nights events or trying to order food by yelling too loud at the people serving. There is often also blokes that come through the doors jaws swinging, stumbling over their own feet going to order then realizing they've lost their wallets somewhere in monsoons, and proceeding to stumble back outside while shouting expletives. Basically this place is perfect, serves good food, open 24/7 and the staff are amazing. Show these guys some love next time you come through. -Uncle Rey
Once the only 24 hour restaurant in Darwin, Uncle Sam's is an average Greasy Spoon and Chinese takeaway. If you have the food made fresh, it is pretty good. Anything sitting in the warmer for too long tastes about as you would expect. They do a pretty fantastic burger with the lot, and their chips are great, as long as you have them made on the spot. If you want a burger, it is better than McDonalds and about the same price, any time of the day.
Always have the meals here. Never disappointed great customer service and the taste so delicious. I'll be back again
Great stop off for a quick munch. 24/7
