Trattoria Basiloco

We really enjoyed our experience at Trattoria Basiloco. Although a bit on the pricier side, the food was delicious and the service was extremely attentive (the waiter would regularly check up on our table to see how we were going etc). My only recommendation would be to make a reservation/booking before going, as it does get quite busy especially on weekends.

If your looking for the best Pizza/Italian in Byron Bay, look no further. This place is close to but not on the main street, we found it across the beach on our walk back from the Lighthouse.. I asked for it crispy and that is exactly how it was served, the Pizza base, taste and ingredients were first class and authentic wood fired, even down to the Italian pizza maker. The Truffle and mushroom homemade pasta was also amazing.. Hard to fault this place, food and service, easily the best Italian in Byron Byron.

Came here for my partner's birthday dinner and was very happy that we did. Bruschetta was fresh and pasta was cooked perfectly with heaps of seafood (and a lot of garlic!) The wood fired pizza was good not great but my partner was still happy that he ordered it. The venue is very cute, great for date night and tucked away from the busy main street which is nice. Absolutely would return.

Amazing Italian restaurant, with great portion! The spaghetti was slightly too sour for me, but still very good, and the calzone was one of the best I’ve ever had! The dough had a great chewy texture, and the filling was delicious. The salad was also good and refreshing.

Good service and excellent food, especially the Pizza. We had a nice dinner here. It seems not too expensive in byron bay area.

We didn’t even wait to pay the bill before writing this review. We have lived in Sydney for 25 + years and have never quite had such an Italian experience. From fresh calamari to the exquisite hand made tagliolini. We took a step out of Byron bay and stepped into a little town off Sicily. Amazing definitely recommend. Staff were tremendous and caring it’s what you want in a dining experience thank you guys so much !!!!

Trattoria Basiloco Byron Bay is a fantastic Italian restaurant tucked away a stone's throw off the main beach road. A great vibe, the restaurant's ambiance offers a fun escape for all, from first dates to family dining and even newly weds on honeymoon. The staff are friendly and attentive, with great advice regarding cocktail choices and dinner planning alike. The pear and rocket salad is a great opener and you can't go past the wood fired pizza. Pair the dining with a couple of cocktails and you have all the makings for a lovely dinner.

Besides being full house I was still allocated a seat at bar so 10 points for thinking outside the box. The chicken was so tender and juicy! The serves are a little small with no sides but I thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Tiramisu was nice, creme Brulée was average. The staff is very friendly and always striving to give their best. Best bar man with lots of stories to share! Thank you guys!

Absolutely divine. The service was exceptional. I think Antonia was the name of the lovely lady that looked after us and she was great. The steak was amazing and the sweet potato mash was to die for. Highly recommended.
