Very good service!!! Food is also delicious^^ The sea food is very fresh as well I want to go there again.

Do you sell mochi? We used to frequent Tomodachi at broadway mall and loved the food and the mochi.

Tomodachi Restaurant is a legendary Japanese Restaurant and it's one of my favourite in town. I've been going there for years and with the whole lockdown situation, I didn't get there for a long time. I went back today and it was outstanding. Great quality Japanese Food all cooked to perfection with generous portions and fair pricing. Great staff too. I must get back there more often! Love their work!

Has gone downhill, ordered one Udon chicken and one Udon tempura for takeaway. When I got home there was no chicken packed. Pretty disappointing especially given the bad attitude of the staff at the front desk and the fact there were no other customers at the time. Guess this explains all the other reviews about the staff not knowing what they are doing. Can't wait for Rhodes Central to open to bring some competition to the area. At this rate this place won't stand a chance.

We got seated at a table and once we were ready to order, I raised my hand to order but all the staff purposely didn't look directly at me to take my order even though they looked in my general direction so it took 5 minutes to get staff to acknowledge me. Then, when the male waiter came to take my order, I asked for the bento box but he said they didn't have it so we started to look at the menu for something else to order and he asked 'Are you ready to order?' I said yes and ordered what I wanted, then after 20 seconds as my dad was still deciding, the waiter asked again with an impatient attitude 'Are you ready to order?' and he stormed off. We were shocked at how we were treated, like he had better things to do than take our order. That male waiter was the only one not wearing glasses. He was very rude and acted like he was the boss. The other male staff who wore glasses were much more polite. Due to this bad service, we will not be coming again. Please take into consideration how important service is for a restaurant and take measures to improve the service from your staff.

We ordered the food, the waitress didn’t even put the order through and made us wait for 40mins for nothing. She didn’t even serve water after she took the order. I never had as bad experience as it is.

I had a dinner with my friend tonight with entry time of 7.40pm ish. The waitress only told us last order is 8.00pm without advising that they close at 8:30pm. At 8:33pm, they began to push us out verbally, it seems like a fire evacuation, not a restaurant' s usual shut down. Let alone there's another group of people still in it. I understand that they stick to their hours, but the middle aged woman' s attitude was terrible when she expressed her closing time. I was still chewing when I pay the bill at the counter, and they haven't not serviced us with water nor even asked if we need water throughout the dinner. Not a pleasant experience and they have so much room for improvement by letting dinners know in advance when they close and give enough buffer time. Again, attitude is everything...

The staff have no clue what is going on. Sat us down at a table after a very awkward welcome. Left us for 15 mins, walked past us at least 10 times. We just left and went for Thai at Ayada. Whoever own Tomodachi need to train the staff.

Extremely poor customer service, ordered through Ubereats, and they cancelled the order because there were no drivers in the area, and then I ordered again for pickup and went to pickup, was told that order was cancelled again because they had ran out of one of items... So they cancelled the whole order rather to adjust and do the items that they have. To top it off they simply palmed it off to the Uber Eats app... The least I would expect is that they would up pickup the phone and call me to let me know.. and give me the option to change my order or cancel it all together, before I make the trip and show up and to be told order was cancelled. Poor form.

Every time I’ve been here, the food has been excellent! Sometimes, it’s not the fastest service, but it’s always worth it!

My family and I have been dinning at Tomodachi for over 10 years. Approximately, 2 years ago the manager was changed. Ever since the new manager started the service has been atrocious. The staff changed and with them came a new attitude and service. They honestly don't want you there..... I don't understand what they are doing in the hospitality industry when they have no interest in catering to any of the customer's requests. They are rude and cold, I am so disappointed, I actually loved the food there, but the staff have finally done enough to push us away. The owner who comes in approximately every 4 weeks does not wittness the staff's hostility and bad service. You can always tell when the owner is there as the staff is always on their best behaviour. Good luck and hopefully you will take this review as much needed feedback.
